Ah, I just received my Irie HG MCut Atom w/ Lizard Skin Ti scales, (dropped on Memorial Day). It’s an incredible knife, and well worth the cost imo. Love it! Thanks for the knaf guy content!
ETA: Heard the end, guess ya don’t like Ti scales. I disagree, and instead HIGHLY recommend the Lizard Skin Ti version. It’s not “heavy”, nor “unbalanced”, and I greatly appreciate the more substantial feeling, (and the texture), provided by those wonderful Ti scales. To each his own, I s’pose.

Glad you dig em! You're correct, I much prefer the feel of the Atom when it's light and nimble...but that doesn't mean others can't love the Ti ones. Thanks for wathcing!

The Hollow Grind is sick! 🔥
But I'm still keeping my lizard TI scale Atom, and it's sharp asf!
My mini FSD-I, SPK Lamia, Cortex XL are my three KINGS 🤴
Can't go wrong with an Atom 🔥
    Great review 👊🏼

Ah, but TRM offered this Irie HG MagnaCut version with Lizard Skin Ti scales too, (on Memorial Day). 😉 I just received mine yesterday. It’s the Perfect Atom imo.

Is it still ~25 thou BTE? The bevel makes it look like its (at least) close.
Thats my only real issue with the atom; ive had 3 of them and they were all the same bte thickness as my XM-24.
Edit: the m390 on my xm24 is also 1.5 RC harder than the 20cv on my current Atom, but according to the internet one is a laser beam gifted to man by the gods and the other is basically a cast iron splitting maul...

I don't have good enough calipers to measure, BUT I'll say that (1) if anything, the hollow one is a tiny bit THICKER BTE than the flat ground one (but it keeps that relative thickness for more of the blade height) and (2) TRM said on Instagram they were having Irie target the same BTE thickness. So whatever your typical experience has been with Atoms, this will be similar.
I've got a couple Hinderer reviews coming up. I've found them to be poor cutters in my experience, but that was before I learned to sharpen. Now that I can lay back an edge...I still don't think they're great, but they're a whole lot better than I thought they were. Most folks still judge perceived sharpness primarily based on the factory edge, and based on cutting cardboard and a few other tasks that really advantage thinner blade stock.

Hope some folks were able to get their hands on one! It sounds like this morning's drop lasted a little longer than the past two. And for anybody who did...there will probably be a couple on Bladeforums or Reddit over the next week or two!
