I cleaned mine out just last week, and it was definitely a hodge podge of things. I only had that bag for a few months, so it missed getting food and stuff spilled in it. It helped that it was a vinyl material! I tried the whole "file box inside a zipper top bag" thing, and it did NOT work and was a hot mess, so it just became a "toss everything in" bag instead! I had a thirty one tote (the big one) at the beginning of the year, but it was just carrying useless crap back and forth. This next year, I have ordered a canvas bag from Target - I saw it in the store and the size was PERFECT, so I hope I love it!! Thank you for sharing this!
I can't even find my teacher bag! I left my school and had to pack up the whole room just like you so I totally feel you! Thanks for all your videos. Good luck in the job search! I think the scissors are salvageable. Just soak them in some warm soapy water and then dry them really well so they don't rust!

As a 22 year old music education major I sometimes feel like you're some superstar teacher and you're not a normal person, but then you do things like "Jackpot!" and "oh man!" and I realize that you're only a couple years older than I am. Yes, going through your teacher bag at the end of the year is such a hoot, you never know what you'll find, you're brave to show us what is in your bag, I still haven't gone through mine!
Ha, love your honesty. I would never have the guts to film my teacher bag at the end of the year. Good job on not having any gross old food in your bag, that is something I am working on getting better at throwing out. :(
You could probably use a paper clip for the broken zipper pull on your pencil bag if you dont want to get a new one (also if its not easy to grip you could always wrap a little bit of washi tape around the paper clip)
I also had a thirty one bag my first few years of teaching. It held up well, but I also had a hole in mine. I have since switched to a Scout bag...very durable! I love mine, but could see myself switching to a bookbag at some piont.

I love that bag! Mine has lasted a few years... I don't use it for any personal things though, only Therapy supplies (occupational therapist), so no sauce/food incidents yet 😂😂😂 the bag fit a deceivingly huge amount of stuff though!

My teacher bag looked like a trash can by the end of the year. All sorts of random papers, buttons, a random counting bear and connecting cube, the list goes on and on. I loved seeing yours!
A couple,of weeks ago the gentleman I team teach with needed a glasses screwdriver urgently so I quickly emptied my bag out in front of our two classes to see if I had mine. I didn't, so I actually emptied EVERYTHING out to look in the very depths. The kids were laughing SO much at the things I was pulling out. It was almost like the bag had a portal at the bottom that I was drawing things from. Sadly I had to get back to teaching, so I just dumped it all back in again. I am on a two week break at the moment so that is one of my planned jobs.

I am a sub and those are some of the things that are always in my bag, especially the name tags since I have to sign in and print out one every time I go into work. I just end up accumulating them. Lol. I try to clean out my bag once or twice a year, but that never works. I still throw everything in there.

I love this! My teacher bag is totally random, too! Although, is pull out various feminine products if I cleaned my bag. Btw, I just recently found the same bag at a garage sale. I scooped it up for cheap. I've been humming and hawing over this bag since first watching your very first video so when I saw it sitting there I ran over to it. It was literally a little weird. Ha. Thirty one has a tall organizing bag similar to the one you have. I really want to try it. Take care.

The contents of your bag really aren't that bad. My bag is in need of a good cleaning as well. I have the same Christmas stickers still in my bag from Christmas as well. Also, I use those accordion file folder holders. They prevent papers from being bent up, which is a HUUUGGE pet peeve of mine! All of my accordion file folders have come from the Target dollar spot for $3 bucks. They are marvelous! I love all your videos and recently started my own website. I plan to launch it in August. I am an over achiever as well. My husband says I take too long to type and proof read over and over. I am a tad bit OCD. He thinks it's a bad idea. I am going to try to not be such an over achiever with my blog. It may or may not happen. We shall see!

lol don't feel bad about the sweet and sour sauce. I cary a backpack as my teacher bag and one week i kept noticing that everything i was pulling out was wet. So at the end of the week i sat down to clean out my bag and found a piece of fruit (i have no clue what it was, some kind of plum maybe??) that had fallen into the laptop sleeve, gotten smashed and had begun to decompose ....... I washed my bag but there is still discolored mold spots on the inside of my backpack :(
It's a teacher thing. I did my initial teacher bag clean out a couple of weeks ago and had many papers to recycle. Part 2 will be to repack with only what I need for the upcoming school year (if I keep the same bag).
I got a personalised EC life planner as a huge treat and struggled with it. I much prefer the planner we get given at school! It was such a major hassle to get the EC too. Duh!
I ordered the same bag (a grey though because unfortunately no chevron was available) because of your first video and it just came in this week and I'm so excited to use it for student teaching.
I love it so far and got the fold and file to go inside it. It looks smaller than it is and I wasn't worried my laptop wouldn't fit, but it fits perfectly. I haven't gotten full use out of it yet because I don't start student teaching until August, but so far it's great. Sorry I couldn't give a more useful review for you though.

'sewing things' = seam rippers ;-) Confession: I use standard fonts that come on the computer... HELP ME! you should make a video that shows how to find, choose and purchase (?) cute fonts.
Mommy First Just google "downloadable fonts for word or apple" which ever one you use. I like urban fonts. Then you can just look up how to open them to your device.
I use Font Space for my fonts, although Teachers Pay Teachers also has free packs of fonts to download! The ones on TPT can be downloaded and used for free if you are not planning on selling any designs. If you want to use them on sellable items you can purchase a font license from the creator of the font. I don't know much about the actual licensing of fonts because I have never done it, but it seems simple.
I don't say this to be mean, but I could not watch all the way through. Between the light changing and the focus issues I just can't, it hurts my eyes so bad (and I already wear glasses). I understand your'e working on it, but I just wanted to give my opinion.
