Thanks for this. Just to add - At the end, You were trying to RDP via private IP that's why it doesn't connect. You have to assign Public IP or simply download RDP file and connect.
Hi, nice tutorial. What exactly did you migrate in this tutorial? The entire virtual windows server you created? What if I want to migrate a Web application and its SQL Server data?
Hi Jonecir, yes, I migrated the entire server with its applications. I think it will be better to Migrate the data differently from the server to make sure the schema is correctly migrated.
Thank you this information is very useful. I am loving to learn things from you...After completion of the whole migration process from GCP to AWS ...can we completely delete all the things avl in GCP. e.g.server.
Hi there! When I choose the finalize cutover, I see the replication progress shows 0%. Does that mean I need to wait until it's completed? Or I can use an EC2 instance right away?
Hi Nguyen, thanks for watching. You can tell that the cutover instance launch was started successfully through several indicators on the Source servers page. 1. The Alerts column will state Launched. 2. The Migration lifecycle column will state Cutover in progress. 3. The Data replication status will state Healthy. The Next step column will state Finalize cutover. That way you know whether it'd successful or not. So use those metrics to determine rather than focus on the zero which may be faulty sometimes.
@@primuslearning4235 yes, it's currently at the Cutover complete stage, but the replication progress bar is only at 0%. The agent has been disconnected.

i'm stuck in "Installing the AWS Replication Agent onto the source server... ", any suggestion?
What is the error you're getting? You can download the agent directly on the server and double-click on the exe file.

The links are in the description section of the video.
Thx bro, great content btw
First 20 minutes, basicly doing nothing except creating a vm on gcp that should take 1 min.
