I love these videos. I find the sound of someone walking through snow to be very peaceful and relaxing. It's the crunching sound that does it. Thank you for sharing these with us!
It’s so wonderful to see where you go. I’m stuck in bed, (not Covid) just old age aches and stuff. I used to homestead when young. I miss my goats and the mountains. I’m so lucky to have found your videos. I can relax and pretend that I’m traveling with you. If you ever need a grandma drop me a line 😂 LOL.
Your videos are so calming. Walking through a beautiful and peaceful village. The only sounds are the gurgling water and the gentle crunch of the snow. Thank you so much much for posting.
Yes! Those majestic gray mountains look painted. The panoramic view was breathtaking!
I know nothing about construction, but it amazes me that those thatched roofs can withstand the weight of all that snow!
Beautiful video.
This is like shave ice on a hot summer day. Its refreshing to see so much snow! Pleasant and quiet.
5:00 Is that Jizo Bosatsu? I love the quote attributed to this great Bodhisattva: "Never will I enter Heaven while one soul labours in hell". 👍🏼💖🙏🏼
Loved the walk through Ouchi-juku, thanks Kuga. ✨💖🌟
That view from the observatory is picturesque. It would make a good painting.
I visited here in the fall of 2016. No snow, and very walkable. The soba was delicious!
Wow so beautiful....The sound of water calms you so nice and walking in the snow ❄️❄️❄️.
Unique experience. Lucky you 🙂
Here's a person who doesn't just talk about it but gets out and does it. Awesome way to live and at the same time entertain others who for various reasons can not do the same. Thanks for sharing. Bushyboy Oz.
As much as this is beautiful in the winter, it must be even more so in the summer. Thank you for sharing. ❤
Beautiful and peaceful. Thank you so much!
I swear EVERY SCENE YOU TAKE IS NOTE WORTHY OF A POST CARD! IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT PART OF YOUR VIDEO FREEZE FRAME... IT'S A POST CARD! SO BEAUTIFUL! I was born in Japan and this is what I remember. ❤. Thank you, ah... domo arrigato 🙏.
The beautiful images remind me of Japanese brush and ink paintings. How accurate those artists were when they captured these scenes!
Fantastic journey! Really great scenery. Enjoyed every minute of this! Thanks!
So awesome Kuga. Thank you for your videos. ❤️🙏✌️💪
This snowy village nestled in the mountains....it looks like it's a sleepy village....and the snow on the roofs must be very heavy....and the food very tasty...thank you for a lovely time ! See you on the next adventure....
What a cozy little village
You really like playing in the snow lately. Thank you for you work.
Very much like your quiet and descriptive channel. When you do out of the way places like Ouchi-juku it might be helpful with some additional information on what line to use from Aizu-wakamatsu. How often the trains leave, what is the latest you can leave if you want to do a day trip and so on.
What a beautifull village !
I so hope that someday I can visit Japan, there are so many old and new sites to see.
Thank you for your lovely quiet snowy travel. It’s so nice that you share it with us.
So beautiful, and so very peaceful. Almost like a dream. Why would you leave???
What a beautiful scenery , one of my dream to experience walking in the snow , Thank you for sharing this video.
Beautiful village! Thank you for showing us.
Thank you for sharing your video. I miss Japan already. Our trip there was cancelled at the start of the pandemic. Hope covid will end very soon.😊
So beautiful! Thank you for taking all of us with you…
What a lovely village. I was having ramen for lunch as I watched. Noodle buddies! Thank for this lovely video.
Beautiful village with a long history.
Beautiful...so beautiful! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Always feels like I am playing MINECRAFT watching your videos. So peaceful . Tranquil.
Relaxing walks, authentic surroundings

WOW so much snow. I love it!
That was very magical. Thank you for your excellent videos.
These videos are so relaxing. It looks beautiful there.
Beautiful! So many scenes I want to snip out of your video & make a 🖼 for their beauty & serenity in my home. Also that bowl of ramen 🍜 where I eat, lol. Your videos are so professional grade now, it’s a pleasure to travel with you 😊
So pretty. Thanks for the video.
I remember finding your channel almost 1.5 years ago when we where all locked up in the middle of the pandemic, your videos made every afternoon fun and relaxing, now we can leave our houses but still love to watch all your videos, thank you for everything Kuga :)
Beautiful village! So peaceful. 💕
Please show us this place once again in summer.
You saw lots more snow than when I was there! I had barely enough time to rush up to the viewpoint, look briefly in a couple of shops, then rush back to the bus. I hope I can visit again with more time. Thanks again for an interesting video!
A beautiful village. A cute train. Travel by proxy. Ahhhh
Thanks for the video. Very relaxing. I hope the pandemic will end soon so that I can travel to Japan to visit some of these places.
Always thank you for your marvelous videos..
I do love Japan so much...
Sometimes want to go your recommended site.. that was so amazing to me..
thanks a lot...
That view at 5:35 really was awesome! 😲
Really beautiful and the view was amazing , All looks so magical... Thank you Kuga for bringing Japan to me 😍
Can't believe Beijing got the Olympics, with fake snow. And beautiful places like this have so much naturally.
So beautiful 😍 thanks for your video !
I'm currently about to eat my cup of noodles ( chicken flavored) and watch this cool video.
wow what a nice place to visit! definitely will be on my bucket list
Kar manzarası çok iyi.
Farklı ülkeleri ve kültürleri öğrenmek güzel. Teşekkürler.
I love the winter in Japan. Hope to visit the country one day :)
Domo arigato! Your travel videos are wonderful. I have made peace knowing I shall never be able to personally visit your beautiful country and to meet your thoughtful and kind countrymen, so watching your videos have become a joy 😊. Thank you very much.
So beautiful.
Although beautiful, who's ready for Spring and cherry blossoms? 😲😜😎👍❤
I"ve been here several years ago,but the season I came was not right I think, the winter snow shows the beauty of Ouchi-Juku rather than other season。
I love your channel! The one where you went on the vending machine ferry got me hooked!
Notice how those 400 year old wooden buildings have withstood the weight of tons of snow.
This was lovely Kuga! 👍
I love your videos, they have a certain warm comforting feeling to them that makes me feel at home, even though I've never been to Japan before. ありがとうございます!
Great video
Such a beautiful village. How do they heat the homes?♥
interesting village in a nice country
Calming ❄️❄️💫vid ❤️❤️
Thank you for providing us (your audience) with another excellent video. Keep safe, hope to see you again soon.
Wow thanks for another beautiful video!!
I really enjoy your videos. I hope you could make a layer for each video with google map locators so we can follow along your trips. I am always interested in matching location to a map.
wow what a peaceful village. there doesn't seem to be a hotel inside the village...the closest one seems to be about 30 minutes ride away...
These videos are so cool 😍😍😍😍
Such a beautiful village, from another time! Is the stream fed by a hot spring? I was wondering because it didn’t seem in danger of freezing-over. Lovely music, Kuga-san! 😁❤️
I hope you come back here in Spring or Autumn (or both). 😊
I found the channels of water running on the sides of the street interesting. I assume they push all that snow into those channels, it melts and gets carried away. Otherwise, that would be a lot of snow to move.
Awesome videos Kuga ! Can you please share which camera / equipment you use for recording videos ?
Ouchi-juku is the little brother of Shirakawa-go 😁
Beautiful. WHERE did you stray?
I remember you mentioned some video travel the Europe. I can recommend Finland, if you interested see something :).
If you overnighted during your time in the snow, I hope you will make a video of your accommodations ☺
The amount of snow! How many days worth of snow is that? I am in Ontario, Canada and when we received 2ft in one day in Jan, everything came to a standstill. I paid someone to clear my driveway. It looks like this is common in places in Japan based on the videos I have seen recently.
The snowy Ouchi-juku is the most beautiful. I went in the fall and shot a video!
Re: the Tochi-moochii, would I be guessing before the nuts are made into a powder form they don't get pre-roasted?
How come the water in the canal doesn't freeze?
Ok... I am an addict. Officially. I am a Kuga's Travel-video-holic.
We don't get snow like this much anymore in Nova Scotia, this year is the worst in a while and it's been mostly ice lol. Going to be +11 C tomorrow! I definitely believe in climate change 😵💫
Does the Snow fall off the Roofs of the buildings? It’s so thick! Aren’t you afraid the Snow from the roofs might fall on you ! 😰
❤️
そこに温泉はありましたか?
Enough snow I need to see green again!!
These videos are amazing... Like wow! Does he have an Instagram to follow?
I guess they get American and English tourists at times because there was a sign in English. lol Take Out Ok!!!
Is this every winter so? I see no smoky roofes.
Wow! What a cool village😍
I will check it up in future travel to Japan.
I was in Aizu-wakamatsu and also Nikko. But this one in between i missed so far. So thanks for the travel-tips and for your lovely video again, Kuga-san.
