He won the BRC once, but then during a shakedown suffered a bad crash due to a faulty part. He retired from racing and when he recovered, became an instructor at RDRS, where he took the MC from MF Ghost under his wing. He never made it to the WRC, but likely was on the path.

i like how audi make the quattro from the ground up to be a rally monster, while pegueot over there be like "let's pick the smallest car and put the biggest turbo we can find" lol. imo pegueot 205 t16 is the scariest of them all
Umm, it was closer to the opposite :D Quattro was still very much based on the regular, road-going Audi 80/90, while 205 T16 basically had the lamps in common with the regular 205. T16 was mid-engined!

I was into simulator drifting some time ago, i was not so good tbh, then i started to only and only train drift listening eurobeat almost every day, then one day i was just going to school in the bus and i thought "my eurobeat playlist rn would freaking rock", so i put it on my bluetooth headphone, after this i started to hear my heart accelerating and my hands started sweating a lot although it was very cold. So basicly the point is, i heard eurobeat so many times in adrenaline situations (drifting) that just listening to eurobeat gave me an adrenaline discharge, so i started using this as advantage in sports (volleyball and soccer) and my friends started saying that when i put my headphones i kinda turn in another person. And sorry if i said something grammatically wrong, i'm brazilian and my english is not that good.
Group B is absolutely mental, this is exactly what happens when you just say "fuck it, no rules" and I'm kind of sad but also glad that it isn't a thing anymore as it was insanely dangerous but at the same time that is exactly what makes is so amazing

@ yea thats what the term “twin charged” refers to. And its actually not banned in some competitive racing but theres hardly any reason for it as modern variable geometry turbos and higher efficiency superchargers now make twin charging near redundant

For anyone wondering, the reason Group B was shut down was because of the inherent dangers that kept posing risk after risk after risk. One crash in one race was particularly tragic because, if my memory serves, 13 people (mostly spectators) died as a result of the crash. The cars were so fast that the drivers often spoke of tunnel vision, and each team had a kicensed therapist travel with them because when mechanics would take the cars apart to service them, they would oftern find things like chunks of human hair, and in some instances, severed fingers. The Death of Group B Rally Racing was almost the death of rally racing altogether.
Not really the death of rally racing, since Group A had more attendees in the following years, and were even faster by 1992. One of the closest and diverse fields the sport has ever seen at the top class.
