Tough to teach a "stick head" to drive a wheel.(PB) But a wheel guy can drive sticks in seconds.

Uhhh, it would be the opposite!. A ''wheel'' is for girls, easy and useless...

I've always been very interested in the differences between sticks and wheel. haven't driven a snowcat so far but i know how both steering systems basically work. can anyone get a bit more into details? what are the advantages of the sticks? and what about the wheel? are there certain conditions / areas where one system works better but in other conditions the otherone works better (e.g. normal slope vs. park)?

@@7pdude As a former PistenBully driver and current Prinoth Leitwolf driver, I know both systems very well. For me, the sticks are more precise than the classic steering wheel. you can decide for yourself how fast which chain turns and in which direction. This is only possible to a limited extent with a wheel that Käsbohrer holds onto. With steering wheels, the advantage lies in getting in and driving off, as you already know the steering wheel from cars. The sticks take a bit of getting used to, but you can figure it out quickly.

@@7pdude You're welcome. Another advantage of stick control over steering wheel control is convenience. With the sticks, you can rest your arms comfortably on the armrests of the driver's seat, especially with the Prinoth vehicles, which is also ergonomic. You also have a lot more view to the front, as no column with a wheel blocks your view. Of course, you then have more freedom and don't feel so restricted.
Sticks are very helpful in park versions of the snow groomers. However, Prinoth now uses them in every vehicle, with the exception of Everest
