    I was learning for two years to be a VA because I was afraid I would not know enough. The VA community changed my mind. Thanks, Erin

    Thank you maam for your very comprehensive and interesting presentation of the different steps to become a Virtual Assistant. You know VA work is a good source of additional income for us who have retired from public service.

      Same here! I get a little stuck because there are work opportunities I want to apply for, but they list something that I'm not familiar with, so I want to learn about it before applying, which delays me further. We just need to dive in and put ourselves out there!

      @@KelliDM Heck yes! I always say that virtual assistance is the best way to get paid to learn something. Anytime a client asks if I'm familiar with something and I'm not, I tell them that I am happy to learn on the clock!

    Loved this video. Your tips and suggestions are so practical and no-nonsense. I had to laugh out loud at the last one because it was clearly directed at me: "Don't get stuck on the hamster wheel of self-education". I needed to hear that. Thank you!

    When I need a mindset shift, I will tell myself "You're a business owner, babe." and it helps me feel less insecure. I need that slapped on a mug/sticker/notepad or something to keep reminding myself! Merch idea for you, perhaps?? 🤔😀

    • @ErinBooth

      No need to register! Virtual Assistance can be done without any certificates or formal training. However, some self-education (as you're doing now) is definitely helpful. I have some videos on my channel about how to find your first few clients!

      You are ready! Learning on the job is the best for two reasons: you’re getting paid to learn, and you’re figuring out what works in your biz and what doesn’t. You’ve got this!! You can do it!

    Hi Erin. I'm enjoying your videos and learning alot... quickly!! I wanted to ask if having two mobile phones is a good idea for a VA? Or, will that get too complicated? Thx, from Jean (Cape Town, RSA)

    • @ErinBooth
      @ErinBooth  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! While you can have two phones, most people find it more economical and practical to either have two numbers (I used to have a free Google Voice number that I gave to clients). Many people like OpenPhone, but I have not personally used the service.

    • @MsJS1122
      @MsJS1122 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ErinBooth me again... I've had a quick look at both... it seems that Google Voice is a good option. Esp in the beginning to keep expenses down. (I wasn't aware of either, so thank you!) :)

    Hi! I’m new to the channel and right now I’m just watching video to learn and see what the VA position is about. Is there any website I can check out to find a job? Thank you!

    • @ErinBooth
      @ErinBooth  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      hi! VA jobs are not typically listed on one particular website. If you're keen to work with an agency that matches you to clients, you'll need to apply directly with those agencies (like Time ETC, Belay, Zirtual to name a few). The vast majority of VA opportunities are freelance - meaning you find, connect with, and pitch your services to clients.
