    ➡️Preparation Time: 10 - 15 min
    ➡️Cooking Time: 20 - 25 min
    🔸️🔸️Ingredients you’ll need🔸️🔸️
    🔸️Ilish/Hilsa - 6 - 8 pieces
    🔸️Black Mustard Seeds - 1 tbsp
    🔸️ Yellow Mustard Seeds - 1 tbsp
    🔸️Green Chillies - 5 - 6 pieces
    🔸️Soaked Cashews - 4 - 5 pieces
    🔸️ Sugar - 1 tsp (Optional)
    🔸️Curd - 2 tbsp
    🔸️Mustard Oil for cooking
    🔸️🔸️Cooking Instructions🔸️🔸️
🔸️Grab a bowl and mix together 1 tbsp of black mustard seeds and 1 tbsp of yellow mustard seeds. Let them soak for 10-15 minutes, then transfer them to a blender jar. Drop in 2-3 green chillies, the soaked cashews, and 2 teaspoons of mustard oil. Blend it all until you have a smooth paste. If it's a bit too thick or dry, feel free to add some water to loosen things up.
🔸️In another bowl, take 2 tablespoons of whipped curd (Tok Doi). Gradually add 1 tsp of sugar, 2 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tbsp of mustard oil, and a pinch of salt. Give it a good stir until everything is nicely combined.
🔸️Now, it's time to bring the curd mixture and mustard paste together. Mix them up like old friends!
🔸️Get your pieces of Ilish or Hilsa and coat them well with the paste. Don't forget to use the remaining green chillies to spice things up even more!
🔸️To seal the deal, cover the bowl with aluminium foil and set it aside.
🔸️Grab a large saucepan, wok, or kadai with a lid. Pour in 2 cups of water and carefully place the bowl inside. Close the lid and let it cook for 20-25 minutes over medium flame.
🔸️Once the time's up, turn off the flame and let it sit for another 5 minutes before taking off the lid. Be gentle and careful when removing the bowl, do not burn your fingers!
🔸️Ta-da! Your Ilish Bhapa or Steamed Hilsa is now ready to be served. Get ready to enjoy the amazing flavours of Ilish Bhapa! Pair it up with some steamed white rice and green chillies for a lip-smacking meal.
Ilish Bhapa is not just a treat for your taste buds; it's a celebration of Bengali culinary heritage and traditions. It's a dish that brings families and friends together, as they gather around the dining table, eagerly waiting to savour each morsel.
    🔸️🔸️Note 🔸️🔸️
    1. We've opted for an earthen bowl this time, but don't worry if you don't have one. You can totally use any regular stainless steel bowl with a tight lid or tiffin boxes instead. It's all about keeping those flavours sealed in and letting the magic happen. So grab whatever bowl you have on hand!
    2. Also, we've got a little tip for you. If you're in the mood for some quick and convenient cooking, you can always use a pressure cooker for this recipe. Simply place the bowl inside the pressure cooker, close the lid tightly, and cook until you hear two whistles. It's a time-saving option that will still give you that delicious Ilish Bhapa in no time. But in that case, make sure to opt for steel bowls or tiffin boxes!
