    I really needed to see these two videos today ! Yesterday I pushed our young gelding too much with ground work and he rebelled and freaked out, but I’d thought he's got to be able to handle this much pressure but it wasn’t true. After watching these two videos I went out today and really went slow and saw how defensive and scared he was with such basic things as petting him, asking him to do the simplest of turns or go over a tarp, even though I’ve been working with him for months. Evidently I had been forcing him beyond his trust level. When I dialed it back today I saw just how much trust he still needs. It was a slow and very rewarding session. I learned so much !

    She is so much like my mare when she was younger. It was clicker training that helped us heal wheat was difficult between us. Now watching your videos I see that intention and love are also key ingredients, as strong or stronger than food rewards. Thank you for what you teach.

    It might also be helpful to have this mare evaluated/adjusted by a chiropractor to rule out any injuries, blockages, etc. her reactions could very well be due to pain. This kind of rehabbing as Caroline is doing combined with adjustments could prove to bring almost miraculous results.

    U r such an amazing person! Im in a process of learnig, just both my house and a place to be able to have a horse, I'm learning so much from you, you see in my country people are use to push horses in to listening to you, not caring for their emotional state, and it was just not sounded right to me, so thank you so so so much for showing that there is a way of conecting with an beautiful creature in a calm, loving way!!!

    wow this is amazing. I have a question though. I have a horse that has been through extreme trauma and if she feels like shes in any sort of danger she will hurt herself to get out of that situation. so how would I solve that and are there any methods youd recomend.

    • @TaoofHorsemanship
      @TaoofHorsemanship  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Joana and Welcome! Great question and bless you for rescuing such a challenging horse. When horses are that extreme you need to learn all you can to help them. There is no one tip, trick or technique that will resolve her intense fear. At this level it is deeply rooted within her instincts and nervous system and you will need to learn how to rebuild her, re-regulate her, one step at a time. I offer a course on this and while this course teaches you how to heal your horse it rebuilds them and develops an amazing relationship. Dulce, the horse in this video went through the same re-building process this course offers too. Please click here for details about the course www.taoacademy-horse-training-courses.com/spirituality and if you want the entire training program (the Spirituality course is included), please check out my MasteryMembership Riding Foundation Program www.taoacademy-horse-training-courses.com/mastery-membership-regular

      She's doing really well! Has some separation anxiety issues but she is improving. She was unemployed (the horse) at my barn in AL for a couple of years and is now back in FL with my friend, and I think just got accustomed to being a social butterfly for a living, and doesn't appreciate when her buddies go in their stalls for supper and she has to stay outside for hers. :)

      boofypony That's great to hear! She was a lovely mare who needed a person to love her, make her feel wanted. She was also a beautiful mover, Andalusian/TB cross. A bit sensitive and very intelligent. Please let the new owners know they can contact me with any questions: Caroline@riderhorsemanship.com. My facility is in Ocala, FL.
