      "On February 20, (1920) the German Workers' Party (DAP) renamed itself; it was now the National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP)."
      Apparently "Hitler did not like the addition of "Socialist" to the Party's name.."
      Extract: Hitler, The Path To Power.
      By Charles Bracelen Flood..P97.
      Herr Wittmann puts on display some fascinating artifacts.

    The more of your videos I watch the more interested in collecting WWII Nazi militaria I become. 😳 Already pretty invested $$$ in another collitable hobby if you know what I mean. I know a lot of people freak out on this stuff. To me it’s all about the history. Thanks for all the history lessons. 👍🏼 Hope to get to a show soon.

    • @WittmannAntiqueMilitaria
      @WittmannAntiqueMilitaria  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      An immobile swastika is one that aligned like a square; NSDAP swastikas have been rotated 45 degrees to form a sort of diamond shape.

    I guess it surprises me that Hitler was having his own tea services made in the early 1920s with his logo on them, when he was essentially still just a rabble rouser in the streets, but you are the expert. Love your videos, thanks.

    Its a shame that original militaria is so astronomically expensive now. I bought my first pieces of militaria when I was a 13 year old in 1983... back then a 13-year-old could afford to pick up an original German helmet or an original bayonet. I feel bad for the younger generation now, because they will never get into the hobby thanks to the outrageous prices being asked now. You literally have to be in the upper-middle class or wealthy to participate in any real meaningful way.
