Hi sir, intresting video as always; i recognised the first "unknown axis hanger" you shown, it is from an officer of the Croatian free state 1941-1945. I dont know the branch, it depends by the color of the brocade backing. The army ones should be grey, this appears dark green or blue, it might be some branch of Police i suppose.
Sorry to say that but this isn't a war time polish dagger (23:00). This is a post war PRL (Polish People's Republic) period air force dagger. Late 70s or 80s I would say. The original eagle on the grip was somehow removed and the "scared chicken" is re-added to it. Anyway, great video and stuff too. Cheers from Poland.
Out of the 49 naval blue max award winners I did not see a "Kolbe" listed. " the brave Kolbe for successful or successfully" then the last word is too hard to make out.
It turns out Kolbe won nothing beyond a pair of Iron Crosses, and spent the bulk of his captaincy torpedoing trawlers, steamers, fishing boats, and pleasure craft.

This is a very good idea. Tom has a kind of basic, "old school" attitude towards maintenance (which is no surprise, as he's old) but I have to say it works. There are simple things you can do that will prolong the life of your collection and they would make for a good video. Thank you, thilgu!

Exactly! I wish he would toss out ballpark figures on all this stuff. I have no idea what the various daggers are worth but I assume thousand$ ? I have no clue but I feel that last sword could be $75,000.

Hello The pin you were not sure about with the SS runes and swastika in the middle with the central skull is a representation of the SS Heimwehr Danzig pin badge awarded to members of this short lived regiment. Unfortunately this one is a fake. Great video as always.

The mint condition ROON is a beauty, the engraved blue panel NCO from Calvary Regiment 10 needs to be showcased on a pair of sword stands but the Imperial lion head is just 🤩 stunning!! Pre 1914 Imperial swords are the apex of the Solingen sword industry and they don’t always get the appreciation that they deserve. That one is truly a work of art. One or both of the named individuals must have graduated from the Anklam military academy in 1888. Keep the show and unboxing videos! ,

The black and red triangular pin with gold cross rune , is Dutch ,( not recalling the correct Jargon ) pre war Netherlands equivalent of the German SA.. A rare sought after pin ,, even in Europe

You're not wrong. It's an unfortunate combination of a mediocre camera, a cameraman who refuses to use a tripod/monopod, and Tom waving things wildly all over the place in a mad rush. I've complained for years, but they do not listen.
I love the unboxing. I spend the last week plus waiting for the SOS show and that was great. Few days later the unboxing came, the best!!!! Tom can you do a update on the items you bought but needed some research??? I think that would be really cool as an addendum to the SOS.
The research update is a very good idea! There are items that definitely need to be vetted very thoroughly, both to learn the history as well as to be absolutely sure they aren't humped up junk.
