Thank you for your coming for review Fujifilm in my hometown, I am only Fujifilm photographer here, congratulations good job and perfect video, hope to see you next occasion
I’ve been reading up on the differences between Viltrox and TTArtisan, and it’s tough to pick one! Viltrox seems safe for consistent quality, but I keep seeing mentions that TTArtisan’s rendering feels more expressive. I’m wondering if TTArtisan might be better for adding a bit of personality to my shots. Anyone with real-world experience with both?
Thanks, and yes that’s Look Designer by ColorLab used with Resolve Color Management and HDR output. Takes a bit of learning though as HDR makes it a bit tricky.
Great shots and beautiful colors. Nice video. I have a question regarding x-S20 itself, have you updated the firmware in this camera already? If yes, do you facing with any AF issues after last update, because a lot of X-H2S users complaining on AF performance after last update and X-s20 received similar AF update so I am just curious whether I should update my X-S20 or wait till Fuji will provide a solution for AF issues.
For travel, I'd go with the Sigma 18-55 ƒ/2.8, it seems like an all in one, light convenient lens to have around. 56mm as an only lens you're right, it's hard to react to things. Cool shots, I hate watching this video, it makes me wanna dump everything here and go back travelling. What do I do with all of them kids I made tho? hahaha Cheers, enjoy for me!
Golden hour in Laos hits different! Incredible beautiful shots! 😍 great review and a very decent lens. Best example what is possible with small and affordable (in comparison to FF or first party lenses) 🙏🏻
Shutter was almost always at 4000 as I don’t have an nd filter that small. But I usually use VND filters to keep the shutter at 1/48 when I shoot in 24p…
hi i watched all your videos on the XS20 but i can't decide. i want to travel and bring the camera with me but can't decide if XS20 or A6700 will be better, i need good autofocus and handheld video image stabilization and it seems the A6700 is the best for this. but for pictures i like to shoot in SOOC with fuji film recipes can you give some advice or do a video compare the XS20 and A6700? the Fujifilm has a known problem where the IBIS is jumpy because it's optimized for pictures instead of videos
I have had a Sony A6000 series, and ZV-E10. Took the jump to the X-S20 when it was released because I wanted to minimise my post processing. I couldn’t be happier to be honest with you. The Fujifilm until today (it’s been a year) I still play around with it everyday because it inspires me to use it. I couldn’t say the same for Sony for me personally. X-S20 is not perfect with its autofocusing, but I have no issues with it. I do most of my videos and photos SOOC because of the recipes.
main advantage sony have is for someone S-log and Weather Seal on body, fuji does not have WS. but fuji have great colour and open gate. i picked x-s20 but ill be keeping eye for sony a7cII later on my journey :D if u want good af on fuji u need good lens, best right now is 16-55 2.8. (idk if this is still true)
Hi Pascal ... great video / review ... thanks a lot. Can you tell me: how's the "tap-to-track"-video-AF on the X-S20 working presuming that you have updated to the last fw? Thanks in advance. Greetings from Tübingen.
The focus breathing looks very minimal as well, looks like a steal of a lens. Viltrox should release a PRO 56 as well, at either 1.2 or 1.4, since the fujinon 50's are using slow stepping focusing motors (slow and jumpy for video at least). I believe it will become a best seller!
@@bermyuwu1802 yes, but it's not weather sealed, and it's not that great optically. If the at least match the 13mm's quality and add weather sealing it will be a winner.
How do you like the shots from the Viltrox 56mm F1.7? Let me know!

Pascal, great video and great shots from laos!
Really enjoyed this video, the value and your shots.
Best regards from Berlin :)
Nice video. How's this lens compared to the TTArtisan 56mm/f1.8 in terms of sharpness?
Never used the TTArtisan

The colors in the first shots are amazing! Did you used a filmsimulation? How much did you color graded the shots afterwards ?

I didn’t update yet, but can’t imagine that the update causes it. Maybe just wait to be save.
I updated my XS20. No downsides to the upgrade.
@@Princeton_James ok, so no issues in AF-C mode in video and AF tracking working without any problems?
forgot to tell u i bought this lens cause of your review. thank you Pascal!
cheers from Malaysia!
3:27 how is this shot possible on a 85mm equivalent?
Sorry, must have overlooked to change the title there. That’s a 16-35.
Is all of this handheld?
Yes
Nice work brother. Looks great.

What was your shutter speed while filming these? And did you use an ND filter?
Shutter speed should be 1/112 and for sure he used a ND filter
But would be great to know which ND filter he used

@@pascalbasel Any recommendation of VND for the S20?
Hi Pascal!
Astonishing review video !
May I know what's your setting about video? 4k or 6k? beside Flog2.
All in 4K
Did you use gimbal?
No

Did you shot everything in FLog? The colors are amazing!!
Yes, all FLOG2
I have this very fun to use , and lightweight
In my country with the lens I’m searching ❤ merci

I didn’t test it yet. It’s actually rare that I use that, even with other cameras. Usually the normal tracking or single point af is all I need.
Excellent video and pics - would be great to compare this with the newly released TTArtisan AF 56mm f/1.8

There's no pro I think, but there is the 56 f1.4

@@zkdoveriepazardjik7 ohhh I see, yeah now that you mentioned it, there's no WR on it, differences are the extra ring and a lower aperture
amazing wow !
he is professional ❤
I enjoyed watching. get more ideas on how to achieve nice videos. Thanks
