I've had one of these inflators for many years. Recently it was acting up so I took it apart and lubed it with super-lube grease and it's running like new now.

So far I’ve been impressed with this thing!

@@beaterboxgarage me too, I use it with multiple cars, trailers, mowers, bikes and it's great! If it starts making rattling or buzzing sounds, it's not complicated to take it apart and lube the spots that seem that they need it. (Maybe I should make a video! 🙂 )

You asked for comments so... I've seen many inflators die because people don't read the instructions and follow the duty cycle causing them to burn out. I've been using Ryobi inflators for several years now and they all still work. I have three of the handheld ones and mine work great. The one you demonstrated here I've had for over five years now and I use it at least 2-3 times a week. As long as you follow the 5 minutes on, 5 minutes off as per the instructions it should hold up for years. If you're the adventurous type and your warranty has expired you can prolong the life by lubricating the internals including the piston. If you have trouble taking it apart there is a screw hidden under the label.

Thanks for replying! I still use this inflator and love it. My riding mower tires like to pop off the bead when they get slightly low and this inflator has been able to get them back on without much fuss. The other thing (now that’s it’s been a while since I made the video) I enjoy using it for is setting it to the mattress inflator mode and actually using it as a mini blow gun to blow dried grass off my mower when I’m done. Quick 30 seconds and the loose grass is gone.

I have the Air Hawk Pro inflator. It looks like a drill. My only complaint besides the length of run time is that it gets so hot after filling 4 tires that it literally is too hot to touch the screw on connector hose.
Does yours have this problem? I think, I might look into this product. Thanks for the review. 🏎

I noticed the hose its self was pretty dang hot after filling all four tires (two of which were completely flat). I dont recall the end fitting being hot (it is made of plastic). I also would guess that just inflating low tires vs what I did would produce less heat too.

Did you respect the duty cycle? Doesn't look like you took any time off for the unit to cool down -- perhaps that's why your old inflator broke. Your new one will die just the same without duty cycle

I did not. Most people just throw an inflator on a tire so that’s how I tested it. Longevity wise you are correct with following what the mfg says.
