Everybody thought Keith and Carrie had a problem when Keith and Carrie split up their tour when Carrie had her "Carnival Ride" album out and Keith took Carrie on tour with him. Only reason, they split halfway part of the tour, was Carrie's label at the time, Arista wanted to know if Carrie could fill arena with out help from a headlining artist like Keith around. And the obvious answer was yes.
Me too....love these two ! Their voices blend together oh so beautifully. They're not quite Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks....but that's not really a fair comparison anyway.
Found that Nashville brass were furious with Keith for taking Carrie out on tour with him after her second album was released. First they were mad at Brad Paisley for having Carrie opened up for him. They didn't want a veteran artist like Brad taking a reality show singer as an opening act. And plus turn out to be a success as it was. Because Carrie went from performing 20 minutes like a normal opening act does to end of it, Carrie ended up performing for 45 minutes. Brad was asked why? His answer was simple, audience wanted to see more of Carrie, so Brad obliged their request.
I think Keith must have told his guitarist with that. Don't challenge Carrie in terms of getting up there with her., he tried it once and got left in dust. Keith knows how good Carrie is.
All I can say is those two are fantastic together, and Nicole better keep him on a short leash because it seems like those two were just meant to be together
