I only have common, so sad... Going to take forever to farm haha, btw, it is harder to stack in Boss only chapters because not many quick kills to stack it. You do get more stack though when you kill a boss. Probably help mid-chapter. :)
I'd probably say that enlightenment isn't as great in chapter 14 as it is harder to charge it, but I CANNOT wait to try out the endless mode with this, holy moly

For that, is there a chapter you need? (Like ch 6 you wrote you don't need it anymore)
Love the video! I was lucky enough to get the Epic Ice Realm spellbook out of a chest! So far that is my favorite one :) In my humble opinion, it feels actually nice to have something else to keep track of in terms of the active skill! You can actually use it to freeze those dastardly teleporting melee dragon warriors right as they appear! You can also use it to get a few seconds to clear out some mobs in a new room, and it recharges fairly quickly :)
yeah but with the random mechanism, how can you get the necklace, the locket, new rings and new books to Legendary, its very hard luck and a load of money. Of course here in Vietnam people can hack items, but i dont hang out with hackers so...
i can't choose from Art of combat and enlightement because enlightement can give useless stat and you don't get so many of them, but in endless mode this is very useful and the art of combat's 15% crit chance (i will have 2 lion rings) and the projectile speed (I use scythe so this very important too) 690 attack is very good too
My Thoughts on the Spellbooks: 1. It's super helpful for farming/finishing a chapter. 2. Active ultimates are annoying, because you can stutter step easily. 3. Some descriptions like power speed are a bit confusing. About Shade: She is powerful, but the price makes it SUPER NOT WORTH IT (same for rolla/bunnie/sylvan) (even if her stats, modifications of abilities/stats in game are high). Ranking of the bew Books: (My opinion only) 1. Enlightenment (SUPER OP AND I LOVE IT). (If it is played on boss chapters, it will go down to 4th place.) 2. Art of combat (Good for wave and boss chapters). (I'm gonna test it if I have it). 3. Ice Realm (Good for normal and boss chapters). (Need to farm to get this) 4. Arcane Archer (Only for event mode).
My first spell book after anniversary season...epic enlightenment, I'm a noob, and regardless of even veteran players not really knowing how OP it is at first introduction I now know what I pulled and am very satisfied.
Even though on some runs it hurts you instead of helping at all? Thats better than guaranteed 3 of the best skills even if 2 are temporary but with a very fast fill rate and the ability to control when its used so its not wasted? AA Sometimes fills 1.25x per room. Doesn't work as good on farming runs but a master on clearing hard runs. Which you don't need a book to clear farming runs anyway.
Thanks for this video it has been very informative! I can't wait for these to be on IOS!! I wanted to write my thoughts but as you know I write a lot so I decided to not do it this time. What I will say is that I think you are correct that the power speed is THE SPEED OF RECHARGING THE SPELL BOOK since all the spell books have a charging bar. All the spell books are good but I think you are correct to say IN GENERAL TERMS that the spell book ENLIGHTENMENT is the best one to have since you can then obtain an additional skill. This is going to be good for runs in Endless mode. The downside to this spell book is that you have the chance of getting a very useless skill like the spinning sword/orbs. However the good side is that YOU HAVE NO LIMITS OF OBTAINING EVERY SINGLE SKILL IN THE GAME (This reasoning is only true for endless mode).
I just noticed that once you equip a spell book, you can no longer just tap once on the screen to reset the auto attack animation. Easy to see if you first make a run without a spell book and then do another run with a book equiped. Stutter step is the only alternative to increase your attack speed now. *Sigh*, I guess it's finally time for me to start learning stutter stepping... :-)
Spikes can be used to charge these abilities if you're willing to torture your character for power. Unless you have Wall Noclip. Btw, first book I get is Common Enlightenment. 😁
I was expecting an epic bull or lion ring when I opened the chest with 10 items and was disappointed at first of what I got... But now, I felt much relieved with my epic book of enlightenment 😁
Same here, and for a noob like myself that wasn't able to fully fathom my pull am very satisfied with adding it to my grinding routine, hope to get another epic book for boss chapters as enlightenment wont help to much. But all in all it's so worth it
Not sure if everyone is aware but I just found this out. Ready to get so stupidly OP? Step 1.) Start endless mode with enlightenment equipped. Unequip pets! Step 2.) buff your hero with as much health as possible. Step 3.) stand on some spikes/ the floor trap drop yourself to as lower heal as possible though any means (without dying) Edit Step 4.) Profit! Watch your meter build and gain new skills. Protip: hurt yourself as much as possible in the early boss fights and don't trigger the demon. Don't pick up the ability that let's you walk through walls, it stops the spikes hurting you. Try to choose blood thirst to recover health. Gain as much health back early on.
Hi, i think that the best spellbook is red book, for its charge time, damage and knockback effect. It not disturb stutter stepping. The green book is very great when the rarity is high.

Other than in endless mode, I way prefer Art of Combat to Enlightenment, as a spear user. The knockback Really helps with dealing with melee mobs, and is a nice damage boost overall while it's active.
there is glitch using enlightmen, 1. full the gauge 2. when u get the skill just quit the app 3. the skill u get will saved when back 4. and repeat until u get all skill :) try it :)
Currently stuck 3/10 on chapter 14. While I love enlightenment and think that will be the best overall, I would think one of the active abilities might help more with boss only chapters... can't wait to finally get the update. Overall, this is one of my favorite updates Archero has released.
i think helix benefits the most from spellbooks as you take damage, get a skill and have your rage increased. ice realm could be useful for like up-close dangers, arcane archer is just a speed aura, art of combat can be great for brightspear/tornado and enlightenment is just broken. im a scythe user so AoC doesn't really help, definitely going for enlightenment
I have a question. In your gameplay, I see that whenever your Enlightenment spell book is activated, there’s an arrow button in the bottom left hand corner. Does that mean you can refuse to take the skills it offers? If so, that would significantly increase the value of this spell book at low rarity! Because then you wouldn’t need to get it to a high rarity to get multi-skills to avoid being forced to take up bad abilities at low rarity, and that would be very friendly to f2p players like me. In addition, if you can refuse to take the skills, it would be really helpful when you’re super unlucky and get 3 bad skills at legendary rarity, adding even more value to this spell book! So can we actually refuse to take the skills? I really hope we can as that would make Enlightenment spell book even stronger.
As a new player this is fascinating, but the biggest questions for me was never answered: Where and when can players find and get the new books? Is it just another item in the loot pool? Is it tied to a certain chapter and above, like how I never saw any lockets, or pets in the first 3 chapters? Perhaps its tied to an unlocked event like beating Ch3 and unlocking events and hero mode? Where is it even equipped? *lvl 30 account, only up to Ch5, been playing for about 3-4 days*
After updating, i can confirm, Stuttertapping is no longer doable if a book is equipped. Not only does it trigger the ultimate, when the book is not charged fully, it completely stops Stuttertapping from working. Stutterstepping is still very much viable but it is much slower than Stuttertapping. Edit: Stuttertapping works if used with the passive books ( art of combat and enlightenment)
This comment is not related to the topic. There is a bug, when we dont complete chp3 , we can still play 2 player event. Just keep swiping from right to left and use 3-4 fingers to do that. Then use anotjer finger or call somebody to tap play
i won a common enlightenment today and its REALY GOOD on the endless mode, u get lots of extra skills that are really helpfull, it charg slowly but its fine i guess
The achievements is good thing for players as it gives a lot of gems when you take it first time (gave me around 600, I'm on ch 8 and hero ch 5), but it kinda doubles rewards under chapter for beating every 10 or 5 stages in chapter
In the events, like flying bullets you always get 3-4 shot no matter how much hp you have. It seeme like the damage you receive there is based on your max hp and is not consistent. This would make the hp boost skill one of the worst in those modes. Because if you have like 12k hp one hit deals like 3000-4000 damage and if you have only 4000hp it deals significantly less. Did you experience this too? Would be cool if you could do some testing regarding this. Also this does seem very strange to me, would be nice to know if this is intended by the devs!
You dont use Stalker Staff thats why you think Arcane Archer spellbook is bad, but if you used stalker staff you would know that increses your damage output x4 if its Epic. Also with stalker staff ability that dmg is higher anyway
Feels like with 1.4.6, they stopped giving out spellbooks on all drops and chests. I even opened 25 obsidian chests and didn't get a single book since upgrading.
What if we start with staff and meogik with arcane archer and 2 diagonal arrows 1 multishot 2 side arrows and use arcane spell only on bosses? Try it its devastating
I just got the Arcane Ulti. And frankly, it so messes up my stutter stepping when equipped. If before, whenever you'd tap and hold your screen your hero would just moon-walk run, now it doesn't. Now you literally have to time every step you take perfectly to trigger the animation off. And im using a bow so the attack time's faster than a scythe, lol. Hopefully the other Ultis arent like that
I found mine on Hero Chapter 6. It also has the highest drop rate for Magic scrolls. Very low though, about 2.2/run. But many others are between 0.5 and 1 scroll per run (0.6/run for level 6, 1/run for level 10). Chapters 8, 9 and 12 have around 2.2/run but they take longer to farm. Hero 6 seems the best deal for the time farming. Also I have to confirm but it looks like Chapter 11 has maybe 4scrolls/run average. Tell me if you see it too, the downside is it's longer than wave chapters...
Personally, I'm less concerned about more item drops in the pool than I am by the sheer volume of useless skills compared to valuable ones. So glad we're at least getting a way to fight back against rng a little bit.
Ok. I have something I don't understand. I dont't get the point of stats with [ult.] in front of it. Example I got the common book art of combat so far and at it increases the knockback each time I refill the bar and gives hundred something hp. But also it has this ult attack of +108. I thought at first my attack icreases every time the bar is refill by said amount, but that is not the case, the attack stat does not change during battle no matter how many times I refill. So please someone tell me, whats the point of that stat

Hey i have the scythe at epic rank lvl40 and am 1 common scythe away to lvl I up. I was wondering if it was worth to farm the staff which I have 1 rare or keep going for the scythe? Also should I go ricochet , or bouncy walls with diagonal and piercing shot
I got the new update and i must say it feels bad!It looks like when you have a spellbook equiped you attack speed is lower.And on top of that i proc the ult to many times for no reason during fast steping or when i need to change direction fast.I dont know if this is do to the fact i use the Arcane Archer book and it has the penalty of the front arow or do to some bug.Over all im not happy with this update.

Where did you got the new books? I opened 15 epic chests and 5 golden chests and got only a single book (this diagonal arrows book) in great ^^` + I never got them on item drops now (since I updated and farmed on C6 normal, hero 6 and flying bullets...)

I personally prefer the arcane archer. I've never killed bosses as fast as with this ultimate skill. It's almost ridiculous. But I think it's only good for seasoned players who already have good stats to build on
I got 8 skills on endless mode at 209. (is it just for me? after 200 the dificulty skyrockets monsters 1 hit ko me, they hit me for 25k health and have tons of hp, my crits do 100k dmg I fire more than 8 projectiles per second and takes a while to take them down with headshots.)
I just want them so split the itens drops, this way i can select which iten pool i want to farm for, they are releasing itens faster than i can farm them in good rarity

As a new player this is fascinating, but the biggest questions for me was never answered:
Where and when can players find and get the new books?
Is it just another item in the loot pool? Is it tied to a certain chapter and above, like how I never saw any lockets, or pets in the first 3 chapters? Perhaps its tied to an unlocked event like beating Ch3 and unlocking events and hero mode?
Where is it even equipped?
*lvl 30 account, only up to Ch5, been playing for about 3-4 days*
Just all rng based unfortunately, dependent on luck and I am nearly finish the game. Very rare for it to drop

After updating, i can confirm, Stuttertapping is no longer doable if a book is equipped. Not only does it trigger the ultimate, when the book is not charged fully, it completely stops Stuttertapping from working.
Stutterstepping is still very much viable but it is much slower than Stuttertapping.
Edit: Stuttertapping works if used with the passive books ( art of combat and enlightenment)

There is a bug, when we dont complete chp3 , we can still play 2 player event. Just keep swiping from right to left and use 3-4 fingers to do that. Then use anotjer finger or call somebody to tap play

i won a common enlightenment today and its REALY GOOD on the endless mode, u get lots of extra skills that are really helpfull, it charg slowly but its fine i guess

And I just realised that I was not opening the exp chest after getting them...
The achievements is good thing for players as it gives a lot of gems when you take it first time (gave me around 600, I'm on ch 8 and hero ch 5), but it kinda doubles rewards under chapter for beating every 10 or 5 stages in chapter

In the events, like flying bullets you always get 3-4 shot no matter how much hp you have. It seeme like the damage you receive there is based on your max hp and is not consistent. This would make the hp boost skill one of the worst in those modes. Because if you have like 12k hp one hit deals like 3000-4000 damage and if you have only 4000hp it deals significantly less. Did you experience this too? Would be cool if you could do some testing regarding this. Also this does seem very strange to me, would be nice to know if this is intended by the devs!
I have a common arcane archer book and it does so much damage when paired with the stalker staff. All the projectiles home and it melts bosses.
You dont use Stalker Staff thats why you think Arcane Archer spellbook is bad, but if you used stalker staff you would know that increses your damage output x4 if its Epic. Also with stalker staff ability that dmg is higher anyway
I got the epic enlightment book :')
Feels like with 1.4.6, they stopped giving out spellbooks on all drops and chests. I even opened 25 obsidian chests and didn't get a single book since upgrading.
So disappointing 😪😪
What if we start with staff and meogik with arcane archer and 2 diagonal arrows 1 multishot 2 side arrows and use arcane spell only on bosses? Try it its devastating

I just got the Arcane Ulti. And frankly, it so messes up my stutter stepping when equipped. If before, whenever you'd tap and hold your screen your hero would just moon-walk run, now it doesn't. Now you literally have to time every step you take perfectly to trigger the animation off. And im using a bow so the attack time's faster than a scythe, lol. Hopefully the other Ultis arent like that

I found mine on Hero Chapter 6. It also has the highest drop rate for Magic scrolls. Very low though, about 2.2/run. But many others are between 0.5 and 1 scroll per run (0.6/run for level 6, 1/run for level 10). Chapters 8, 9 and 12 have around 2.2/run but they take longer to farm. Hero 6 seems the best deal for the time farming. Also I have to confirm but it looks like Chapter 11 has maybe 4scrolls/run average. Tell me if you see it too, the downside is it's longer than wave chapters...

Personally, I'm less concerned about more item drops in the pool than I am by the sheer volume of useless skills compared to valuable ones. So glad we're at least getting a way to fight back against rng a little bit.
I think they should add a way to login with facebook or something so we can use our accounts on different platforms. Idk I just thought about this

So what does the (ULT) skill mean? You activate them when you double tap? And the skill list expands as you get a higher level book?
Ok. I have something I don't understand.
I dont't get the point of stats with [ult.] in front of it.
Example I got the common book art of combat so far and at it increases the knockback each time I refill the bar and gives hundred something hp.
But also it has this ult attack of +108.
I thought at first my attack icreases every time the bar is refill by said amount, but that is not the case, the attack stat does not change during battle no matter how many times I refill.
So please someone tell me, whats the point of that stat

Hey i have the scythe at epic rank lvl40 and am 1 common scythe away to lvl I up. I was wondering if it was worth to farm the staff which I have 1 rare or keep going for the scythe? Also should I go ricochet , or bouncy walls with diagonal and piercing shot
I got the new update and i must say it feels bad!It looks like when you have a spellbook equiped you attack speed is lower.And on top of that i proc the ult to many times for no reason during fast steping or when i need to change direction fast.I dont know if this is do to the fact i use the Arcane Archer book and it has the penalty of the front arow or do to some bug.Over all im not happy with this update.

You can intentionally take damage to speed up ult of enlightenment.
Does enlightment require you to kill enemies to charge? Or is it based on time spent running about?
Where did you got the new books? I opened 15 epic chests and 5 golden chests and got only a single book (this diagonal arrows book) in great ^^`
+ I never got them on item drops now (since I updated and farmed on C6 normal, hero 6 and flying bullets...)
I got the common from farming ch.6 and the two rare ones from obsidian chest!

I personally prefer the arcane archer. I've never killed bosses as fast as with this ultimate skill. It's almost ridiculous. But I think it's only good for seasoned players who already have good stats to build on

Stupid question on the spellbooks. Are you "leveling" them up during the run (like you do your character), or do you get all of the stats at once?
You get all the stats depending on your rarity! Some stats only happen when you ult

I got 8 skills on endless mode at 209. (is it just for me? after 200 the dificulty skyrockets monsters 1 hit ko me, they hit me for 25k health and have tons of hp, my crits do 100k dmg I fire more than 8 projectiles per second and takes a while to take them down with headshots.)
I hope they won't nerf Enlightment. Maybe I finally get through chapters more easily. xd
