- JAGJIT SINGH SING'S AHMED FARAZ LIVE IN KENYA 1972
Ahmad Faraz's poetry was highly popular among the general public in Pakistan, India as well as among the subcontinent's immigrant populations overseas. He was a poet in high demand at social gatherings (mushairas) where he would recite his poetry in his own voice. Ahmad Faraz was often compared to Muhammad Iqbal and Faiz Ahmed Faiz.
Singers like Mehdi Hasan, Ghulam Ali, Jagjit Singh and Runa Laila greatly popularized his poetry by singing his ghazals in films and in concerts.

1) Ranjish hi sahi dil hi dukhane ke liye aa
2) Ab ke hum bichhde to shayad kabhi khwabon mein
3) Aankh se door na ho dil se utar jaayega
4) Dost banker bhi nahin saath nibhane waala
5) Jis samt bhi dekhun nazar aata hai ki tum ho
6) Shola tha jal buja hoon
7) Phir usi rahguzar par shaayad
8) Zindagi se yahi gila hai muje

Waah.! Ek aur Mehfil ki raunaq..bahut hi nayaab ghazal..Jagjitji ki makhmali awaaz mein gaayi huyi..
Dil ko chuu lene waale sur aur dilkash andaaz se pesh ki huyi laajavaab shayari, jiski tareef mein bayan karna mushkil hi nahin namumkin sa lag raha hai...
Ek hi ghazal mein khushi aur gham ka ahsaas dilaaya hai, Ahmad Faraz sahab ne..
Kitna pyaara sher hai, dil mein utarne waala...Phool khilte hain toh hum sochte hain..Tere milne ke zamaane aaye ...
Wo khafa karke hamein, khud rooth gaye..Ab hamein kaun manaane aaye..
Aur ye sher utna hi ghamgeen...Ajnabi dost hamein dekh ki hum, kuchh tujhe yaad dilaane aaye...
Ab toh rone se bhi dil dukhta hai..kitne doob kar aur itne variations ke saath gaaya hai..seene ko chaak kar dene waali gaayaki.....Teri baatein hi sunaane aaye..Dost bhi dil hi dukhaane aaye...Aur ye sher to ruh ko chuu leta hai ..Aa na jaaye kahin phir laut ke jaan..Meri mayiyat ko sajaane aaye...
Kya kahen, mann bhar aaya, itni dard bhari ghazal, Jagjit ji ki ruhani aawaaz mein sunn kar...

I thought I hv heard all ghazals...but this treasure was hidden somewhere.... ghazal singing is basically combination of voice and few instruments.... not like the ones in present Era where only instruments are used .
True. This is from original genre of ghazals.before instruments were added. Thia has some different charm.
