the Nameless King is actually a pretty genious bossfight. Instead of making his moves hard to dodge by making them faster, his moves are very slow, but very abrupt, so you can see him charging, but don't know when he's gonna strike at first. The Nameless King is not insanely hard if you keep really calm and learn his timings, but almost everybody panicks at the first few tries and that's what makes this one hell of a fight.
@@Wuuff Nah that's bullshit. You can lock on to the head and literally never unlock unless he flies up for the fire attack, which you won't trigger if you're sticking to his head. I can no-hit that phase of the fight and lock-on helps a lot when I'm dealing damage with my UGS vertical strikes. I'm not telling you how to play keep in mind I'm just giving advice. @@GeorgePerakis people find different things easier, I find this boss (and most others) easier unlocked, because I prefer having control over the camera. Seeing his moves on the dragon isnt difficult unlocked, and neither is hitting him with an ultra, but again, people have their own opinions.
@@Wuuff That's the thing though, you can still control the camera, it just makes it easier for me to lock on and then lock off when I need finer control of the camera. It's one less thing to worry about. It's a process I can automate in my head, lock on and then lock off if x happens so I can get back in position to lock on again. Like for example after you hit the back of his head during a fire attack, I lock off right after so I can move back up in front of the head while keeping an eye on the rider and then I lock on again. Again, this works really well for me, I can no-hit that phase consistently as I said. I'm just saying, the lock-on is not the problem, you just have to know when to lock off.

Bricky, the nameless kind actually is Gwynns son. I just confirmed it with an item in dark souls 1. "Sunlight medal" "This symbol represents Lord Gwyn's firstborn, who lost his deity status and was expunged from the annals. But the old God of War still watches closely over his warriors"
Small lore time. Nameless king is theorized to be the first son of Gwyn. He uses lighting, is befriended to dragons, uses a spear similar to that of of Gwyn's honor guard, and the name, Nameless King, could be a reference to how Gwyn tried to erase all record of his first son from the world, as he was tasked with destroying the dragons buy instead befriended them, so Gwyn excommunicated him and disavowed him as his son. His first son would also, right now, be king as Gwyn died, and so his first son would be next in line to the throne.
I’ve always thought with the wording of items & such in DS1 that he did indeed succeed Gwyn as Lord of Sunlight, but the dragon funny business happened after Gwyn left to link the fire (hence the succession) hence why the Nameless King’s ring is on Gwyn’s coffin in AL. The only person who seems to benefit from NK’s exile seems to be Gwyndolin, who’s running the city from the shadows.

Great videos, man. I agree with you, definitely not the most difficult fight in the game. Personally, Twin Princes and Dancer gave me the most trouble in the game.
11:10 bricky.exe has stopped working
Damn you got luckier than I did. He really started chaining his combos together vs me once he was half hp.
I think we all can agree that nameless king is the hardest in the main story
Pontiff and lothric are up there
You get up off the ground sooooo fuckin slow it kills me too man.
took me about 8 hours, but i finally beat him one handing artorias GS and full Wolf Knight set (yes i wanted to cosplay). Gotta say, one of the most satisfying boss fights ever. It takes whatever you think you know about DS3 and forces you to change up or get 2 shotted. After him, the other bosses are a breeze. Btw you might wanna try out the Dragonslayer SwordSpear which you can transpose from him soul. Pretty fun to use and it has nice hit arcs unlike most spears. Not to mention the wicked awesome Weapon Art which wrecks armored enemies. Looking forward to your next episode Bricky!
Cheers and thank you for the enjoyable content!

It took me 10 hours to beat the four Kings on DS1 NG+ because I wasn't doing it right
The right way to do it is just sit there in full Havel armor and trade with it...Who would've thought you'd ever just stand there and trade with a boss as the best strat because they keep spawning and ITS NOT LIKE IT HAS MORE HEALTH THAN ANY OTHER BOSS REEEEE
Hmm, wouldn't fire be pretty effective against nameless? Lightning/Sunlight seems useless
Another hint for the Nameless King to be Gwyn's firstborn is his crown, which looks almost exactly the same as Gwyn's
12:20 my league of legends darksouls crossover senses are tingeling
I could just hear him shout " HASAKI" mid fight
It all depends on the build - Ponti was a piece of cake but I am still trying to beat Namess on NG++
