My father was in the Marine Corps and my son was in the Army National Guard for 15 years working towards a full career when he was killed. I put bricks in the bottom of the hole then set my sleeve and filled it with concrete and leveled it. Then I let it set for a couple of days to let the concrete cure before setting the flag pole in place. That way the pole sets on a solid base and won’t work into the ground. You did a good job and your flag pole looks great.
Your flag looks real good! Our flags history is instilled in me from my upbringing and my time in the Navy. We always support veteran and small American businesses and am looking forward to getting my Freedom Edition flagpole. I hope you, your family and Bandit are all doing well.
Semper Fi, grateful for everybody that serves in our Armed Forces. Love seeing the American flag being flown, in front of homes and private businesses.
Looks great and tell the wife I said it's not to high it will be perfect when you get the 2nd flag up . P.S when digging holes put the dirt on a tarp for easy cleanup.
O ya but the premium solar light and put up on it and at night it’ll light up you flags real nice..if you get one that has a rubber push button on the bottom to turn it on buy about three quarter inch thick washers and put them on then the light then the ball because if you don’t when the flag try’s to twist around the top plastic piece will get hung up on the rubber button as it try to turn around. If you put washers under the light this gives your plastic flag holder piece clereance to mice the rubber button used to turn on the light as it swivels around….I think the premium don’t have the rubber button on bottom thought..
I actually have mine at about 20' right now. The answer is yes, you can raise your flagpole as high or as low as you want it. I need to make an updated video to show all of this. Thanks for watching.
I just ordered my Freedom First 25ft Black Edition today 2024-1022 from Service First. Looking forward to proudly flying our flag, along with a second one as well. I want to have it up in time for the Nov 5th election ! I was undecided on the 20ft vs 25ft pole. I spoke with June at Service First and she told me that if you feel the 25 ft is too tall you can not raise your last section (as if there was going to be a strong storm coming and that would bring the height down (if you felt it was too high). But I agree, it can't be high enough. Fly it Proudly brother ! One Question---how did the dry mix concrete work for you putting in the hole vs mixing it wet and pouring it in? I'm taking it all went well, because your project looks GREAT !
Hey 👋!!! I bought this same flag pole and if they would have had it in the thirty at that time with the push pins I would have ordered it….Your flag pole can never be to high so if that was your wife asking you if that was to high you tell her I said your flag pole can never be to high.LOL!!!🤪. This is one of the nicer flag poles out there so you made a good choice and as a matter of fact I fly three flags on my pole so you do have that option and if you ever want to do that I can tell you how…Just watch out for super high winds if your flying two or more….I the American 🇺🇸 flag another flag and a nice embroidered POW flag …If you want the link for it let me know…
This is the thirty foot black edition… but there are a bunch more on this site… I bought the push pin one so it’s easy to raise and lower the flag… I do fly three flags on mine…

I used 2 bags, a bit over kill, but I buried that pipe to almost flush to the ground. You may only use a bag and a half depending on how wide you make the hole.
@@HunterBoyRichie7 I went about 2 feet deep and there is no way 3 bags of concrete would fit. I can tell you that I have had some strong winds, etc. Bad weather and I have never lowered my flagpole, and there are usually 2 flags flying at all times. So 2 bags were good for me, but I can't speak for others. Thanks for watching.
Nice job, flag pole looks great! I'm considering buying a Freedom Edition flagpole myself. How has yours been holding up in the wind? Which flag did you end up upgrading to? 4'x6' sewn and embroidered?
Yes, I got the sewn and embroidered flag. I don't see a problem with any winds, as they have tested this particular flagpole in winds over 100 mph. It is real easy to take down, and light. I will have to say that I am very impressed with this product. I've always wanted a flagpole, and happy I chose this one.
Level across the top is the wrong measurement. Most likely, a pipe cut is not square to the pipe. What you should have done was to measure for plumb on the base pipe.

Yes, I always wanted a nice flag pole in my front yard. When I was a kid I always admired my grandfathers flag pole and he was a marine in WW2.
Thanks for the video. We're moving and this will be our first project.
Thanks again!

It's never high enough, I totally agree. Wow, I didn't even think about getting a tarp to put dirt on. I will do that next time for sure. Thanks.
Nice job sir, I’m shopping right now and will be getting one here pretty soon. I love the Freedom Edition!
Thanks for the compliment. I love the flag and it was easy to install.
Flagpole looks awesome
Thank you!
That looks awesome. I'm jealous you had nice soft dirt. I had all red clay. Had to use a spud bar for most of it. Took 2 days.
yes it took me like 30 minutes from start to finish.

Did he let everything HARDEN FOR 24 HOURS
No I just went with it. Probably should have
I’m debating between the 20 and 25. Does the 25’ telescope up in 5’ sections? Then I could raise it to 20 if 25 was too high. Thanks

@@joedanreedwhy did you change it to 20’? Do you like it better at 20’ or 25’?
Thank you for Sharing!
absolutely, my pleasure!
I am curious. Is there no halyard/ rope to haul the flag up and down or do you just slide the poles up and down?
It’s a telescopic pole that comes down in sections. You can lower it as low as you want, and raise it as high.
There is a option to buy a conversion kit to a halyard
Yeah, I don’t see how you can fly half staff with a telescoping pole.
@@the.saintriotthey have a weighted tether to wrap around the pole and attach to bottom of flag while using bottom clip of 2nd flag to fly half mast.
How is this flag pole secured in sleeve? It appears that the pole just slide in sleeve with no locking mechanism.
Correct, it is in a sleeve with no locking mechanism. I have had it up for quite a while and no problems.
And Q the token nag in the background. We're surrounded brother. Looks awesome. How would you say it's held up ?
@@j2dai61 still holding up fine!

I must say, I have never seen quick setting concrete used that way. Is the flagpole still level and straight today?

On the companies website they have a video and its says an 18in by 18 inch hole and 3 bags of concrete.

How many bags of pre mix cement did you use?
2 and a half bags did the trick
I appreciate the response. Thank you
How many pounds per bag. I got 3- 80 pound bags. Did I over do it?
Get you some nice designer circle ⭕️ blocks and put around it and some flowers and some red wood chips and it’ll pop…
I already did that. yes it looks like it was missing something, not now.
What happened to the 30" diameter 😂

Do you have a picture of it with the 4x6 flag?
It’s easier to mix concrete outside of the hole first
Does this fly at half staff?
its a telescopic, and you can bring it down half way, but no you can't fly half staff so to speak
Thanks… I’m about to do the same thing with same pole ..
I think you will love it.

So far after 2 plus years no problems.
You really need to watch a TH-cam video to see how to install a flagpole.

The flag looks plastic to me or it just the way it’s made
