You know, all these limited format series has made me realize that Yugioh is actually such a good game when everyone is playing (relatively) shit level decks against each other.
In general, I think it's good when people play decks that are balanced at the same level. Meta v Meta = Fun Rogue/Low Tier v Rogue/Low Tier = Fun Meta v Rogue/Low Tier = Unfun (for both players; way too easy for the meta and way too hard for the rogue/low tier)

Meta players always play the same decks over and over again in MD. It would probably be fun if I see people actually playing creatively build Meta decks they build with their own braincells instead of the decks they found on YGOPro.

This is a really great series. I love seeing some of the noncompetitive boss monsters the niche strategies that come into play. It really feels like watching Saturday morning Yu-Gi-Oh

There is a combo with ninjas where u use art of transformation to special summon dark simorgh from the deck, and if u have anti spell fragance u lock the opponent from playing any spell trap or monster in defense mode

If it were an activated effect when it leaves the field then it wouldn't activate, but continuous effects will still apply due to moving into the Deck. An example is Oasis of Dragon Souls destroying the monster if you move it into the Deck with Spiritual Wind Art - Miyabi.

actually, it does count, but card effects don't trigger in the ED or deck (except for one very specific card - Serpentine Princess), so if you jelly cannon your own monster, it doesn't trigger, but it is considered to have left the field.
So I’m just looking through these comments and I’m seeing a lot of them talk about how MBT played a terrible Ninja build. What’s an ideal build of the deck? Really curious because I remember trying to build the deck in Legacy and failing miserably at it.
IIRC the best variant is the one that uses Apex Avian summoned off a ninjitsu art for a bunch of negates and then using the link to get ninjitsu arts every turn to protect it.
Doug also had game on board that turn. He either flipped amaterasu, cleared the board and summoned shinobaron for lethal or just summoned shinobaron and bounced mbt's board for game. Either way mbt didn't stand a chance after salvation was flipped lol
Is there a way limited crafting could be incorporated into this series? Like each week both players can craft one card but it HAS to be in the pack? I think it would help each player use their pack's "strategy" and make for more interesting duels.

Dear Konami please make a retrain or tcg exclusive retrain of Saggi the dark clown that supports the virus traps, can special itself when you control no monsters, has a protection for virus where the opponent can respond to them, can be used as a tribute cost for any of the virus trap with the exception of Grinning virus, and can revive itself by banishing a virus trap but banishes it when it leaves the field.
So it is tie or dzeeff consider win this match? By the way their some ninja is belong to one of the famous konami video game, but transform it real form, which is ebisu, Sasuke, goe goe and lady ninja yae. Transform from chibi form to real form. Hopefully dzeeff will pull glaxy wars to play BES and gradius, my hope is slim since he will definitely play kozmo over this konami video game deck, which is gradius deck.
once in stream at the end of the recording of an episode you guys said that you could roll the roulette 3 times, the winner from last episode gets to chose one of those 3 packs and the loser picks from the remaining 2. I think you guys should go for that idea tbh
I think a fun twist would be making it so you couldn't look up the packs contents. Of course there's some packs that are obvious but stuff like the first pack it was interesting to see you both not know what it was
I say this every time someone brings it up. Doing this turns choosing the pack into a skill check that advantages whichever one remembers the pack list. What, do they agree to not look up the list and contents beforehand? Even if they did that whoever has more pack knowledge now is already advantaged.

Very well said. This is why I don't usually play the meta decks because it's so much more fun even though I lose most of the time.

They do craft a card from the pack. They just dust it after it unlocks the pack.
