    Really enjoyed your video, very helpful and informative information. I really appreciate the insight on the weight of the blades and the consideration for using them on lighter duty equipment. I am very encouraged to hear you give glory to God at the end of your video. Blessings!

    Good advice, thanks. I have Gator blades on my push mowers, I like to mulch instead of bagging the grass.

    Speaking of toughness,...I just started running the G6 blades. Last week I was mowing a biweekly property with my 60” 35hp BigDog Diablo MP. Had to stop because I ran over, and bent a 2’ piece of rebar that someone had thrown out there. Didn’t tear nothing up at all. The strength of these blades is a true testament to how tough they really are. If you saw the blade that hit it, you’d have to convince yourself that it actually hit something like that.

    Thanks for the feedback. I was wondering about the Gator Blades, whether Oregon made a good product and if they were worth the money. You made up my mind. Making the change for next spring.

    I run Reaper high lift blades on my commercial Toro 60 inch zero turn mower. They're 0.250 inch thick (quarter inch thick). Beefy as hell and cut amazing.

    I got an 04’ dyt400 with upgraded engine (28hp) and G6’s pull that engine down a touch on startup as well, but it mulch’s like nobody’s business. My yard looks like a golf course every time. But if I get in super tall/wet grass, it will burn the belt off
    before that engine quits.

    Excellent information. Gator blades probably are the best. However to save my machine I would rather bend the blade and replace it than hurt the spindles or crank. Thanks for showing us the difference.

    I have a new JD zero turn Z930R with standard factory installed high lift blades. What blade would you recommend that will provide smaller clippings while still side discharging? I do not have a mulch baffle kit. I'm willing to pay a premium price to get the best blade for my residential yard. Is there a blade in the market that will provide this, but still provide nice looking stripes? Thank you!

    Gators on a 21 horse 60” mower work wonders. I personally use them on my work mower (has a mulch kit) with our fescue lawns and they seem to cut better than the same mower with the factory mulch blades (blade with the hump in the middle). Idk if it’s bc of the mass of the blade or because of the “high lift” picking up the grass better but I love them. Planning on also trying them with leaf cleanups this year to see what they’re like.

      Also, a guy was using my mower when I had the gators on it and accidentally hit a metal water meter cover and it didn’t break the spindle (oddly enough) but it did chew up the blade edges, unfortunately. Idk Wht they (exmark) make the spindles out of but they r tough to break. I have, personally, only seen one break.

    Just installed 3 Gator blades on my 2yr old ExMark 52" & the engine bogs down & dies when I engage the PTO. Could be the battery. It needs to be jumped off to start it & when I remove the jumper? The engine dies, without the PTO engaged

      I run them on an old JD L130 and it cuts like a pro commercial tractor. I don't even use the mulch plug anymore. I side discharge and the grass blades are small enough to disperse in the ground. It cuts pretty descent in wet grass as long as you're using high throttle and not taking it down too low.

      @@clsmallenginerepair3814 They are also a finishing blade have you seen the review? I use them all the time with any length grass and they are a much superior blade for mulching than anything on the market. Why in the world would you spend thousands of dollars on a ride on when you only have to spend a couple of hundred on blades and get a better finish . Not only that you save the most important thing time!!!

    Gator blades are not good for overgrown grass up to anywhere from 3 ft tall to 5 ft tall I use them on a 32-in walk behind Scag and the Gator blades hold the grass up under the more a little too long when the grass comes out comes out in big long clumps and it doesn't fan out like it should

    • @Preacher7633
      @Preacher7633 ปีที่แล้ว
