Russell Hall features double with community bath style rooms, a large lobby area on the main floor, an open community area on the 3rd floor, and lots of enclosed study space scattered throughout the building. As of summer 2021, Russell Hall rooms no longer have in-room microfridges.

UPDATE: Beginning in the 2021-2022 academic year, Russell Hall rooms will no longer include a micro-fridge. This decision was made after reviewing student feedback which indicated that students would rather have the choice to bring their own micro-fridge or not since floor space in Russell rooms is at a premium.

Are the beds in Russell already lifted or do we need to be prepared to loft during move in?
Hi, bdaburns! Some of the beds are already lofted. However, we recommend bringing a rubber mallet with you on move-in day just in case your bed is not lofted and you wish to loft it. Hope this helps!
are the “double with bath” rooms for freshman as well, or are freshman only allowed to do the “double with community bath” option?
Hi Ria 👋Thank you for your question. There are a few double with bath style rooms in Russell but they are typically set aside for students who are registered with the Disability Resource Center (DRC). In the event that the rooms are not used by the DRC, they become available to the general population. This means that if you see a double with bath style room in Russell during your room selection appointment time, you can select it for yourself. If you believe you may need a room accommodation, you can follow up with the DRC at 706-542-8719, drc@uga.edu, or drc.uga.edu. Hope that helps!

Thanks for your comment. With 360 videos like this, if you click and drag on the video, the camera angle will move in any direction. You should be able to view any elements by moving the camera angle.

Yep, absolutely. All of the furniture in Russell is moveable.
Where can we find information on which floors/wings are male and female?
Hi Claris, thank you for your question. The gender of each floor is subject to change from year to year so it's not typically posted online. When you log in to The Dawg House portal for your appointment time, The Dawg House will only show you rooms that match your gender so you don't have to worry about accidentally selecting a room that doesn't match. what about the rooms without community bath?
Hi Taylor 👋 thank you for your question. Russell Hall does have a handful of rooms with bathrooms attached. However, those rooms are typically set aside for students who are registered with the Disability Resource Center and require an accommodation that an attached bath can provide. Can we move the AC on the floor to a different place in the room?
Hi Anjali 👋Thank you for your question. The AC units cannot be moved in the room, they are stationary on the floor or ceiling depending on the floor in Russell.
