I have watched every video from the first one, uncovering your first boat in the snow and working on it in the cold, how far you have come, I am always astounded at your ingenuity and imagination, Keep up the good work!!!
A lot of work, but like my Dad always told me, anything that comes easy isn't appreciated. I'm sure when you all lay your heads down at night, you feel a wonderful feeling of accomplishment. A joy to watch
You're doing a great job on the barge boat! All that below deck space for storage and infrastructure is awesome! Looking at all that space, it occurred to me that you might want to designate an area for food storage - because, you could stock up on a lot of food with all that space. I'm enjoying watching how this project is progressing. Thanks for taking us along on your journey.
The under-deck storage is awesome. But since you are storing volatile chemicals down there, you might consider installing a blower for ventilation. You don't want to be sitting on bomb!
I’ve been following you since the beginning of your boat projects, and I have to say, I’m really impressed with this video: When you went below deck on the big boat, I was pleasantly surprised to see how organized everything is and that you’ve found a system that works. It’s amazing how much you’ve learned throughout these projects. The things that stand out to me the most are: You’ve learned to weld, you’ve got some awesome tools and know how to use them, your electrical work is above average compared to everything else, and now you even have an organized boat basement. Great stuff, keep it up and much success! P.S. I still don’t get how your disco is supposed to work with your bed right next to it! 😆
I'm just imagining some sort of seat on rails for the underdeck so you could sit down and push yourself/what you needed along the length rather than crawl/hunch over.
I have been enjoying your content for some time, well done. I love your work. You have hazardous materials in your storage compartment. Please be careful, fires on ships, as you’re well aware, are a real and very dangerous problem. Stay safe!
Watching for several months, such a wonderful, interesting, informative and enjoyable journey. You are a master creator and excellent story teller. Your project is magnificent and I thank you for sharing it.
awesome house boat!! the designs are very cool...looking forward to the end result...please do make a video about more of yourself, and your wife, and how you met and your adventures 🙂 it would be amazing to know more about this man that builds this awesome floating home 🙂
Following this since the first video, and it is still better and more entertaining than game of thrones.
Hey there love your channel just really wish you would have a regular weekly stream or show I would have loved to watch you organize your “basement” “(lol)”! Also the undeveloped space in the rear you should do two things if possible I would put a freezer down there to store extra food stuff and then make some sort of cabinet or something to keep you some extra dry goods that don’t spoil like lentils honey powdered eggs oats and peanut butter also ramen noodles etc ! Look up food that doesn’t spoil and you will see again you are a wonderful craftsman and don’t let anyone tell you how to make your stuff do it your own way your boats are awesome and you have inspired me to want a boat myself! Love your channel keep up the good work and can’t wait to see the party! P.S. You should make a separate bed room with walls only a suggestion for you food for thought!😢❤❤😊 0:00
I'm an introvert for the most part so thst undeveloped space below would totally end up as a quiet and cozy reading nook. Maybe even a capsule style berth with forced air/cooling/heating and soumd deadening.
Wow, you have done a great job since you first started with your “First Boat.” I could not have done it without professional help. Keep the videos coming as I am anxious to see the completely finished houseboat if you get there, as I know you figure out ways to improve what you have already done. :-)
First time I seen your videos, really impressive build and video quality. One note that made me jump and please think though it: The batteries in the lower deck connected to the bilge pump is a really bad idea. If water started running in and for any reason touched the batteries the pumps would stop working. It is essential to have those batteries far enough/in a water tight container to make sure it keeps working and have an alarm (a loud one) on the living deck to know if either the bilge pump is working or the batteries died. Living on water can be amazing but also very dangerous please stay safe. Amazing work!
Wow, everything looks fantastic! I’d love to see a video about what kind of permits (if any) you need in Germany to create such a cool liveaboard barge and anchor it in a waterway.
Toronto, Canada. I really like your Videos. Your a very smart guy. I do not have a boat however, I first seen one of your early videos and thought, Who would buy such an old boat? That is why I started watching. very interesting. The barge was the best one for me. Keep going my Friend !
Gute arbeit mein jung. Ich, und deine Frau, sind froh das du keinen schrottplatz besitzer bist. Sonst wuerdes du ein hochhaus bauen. 😇😄😄😄😅😅. Dein resultat ist einfach sehr gut
My wife and I like your show. We admire the detail and hard work you have done. For you main boat project I did want to point out that the you could have used a blind nail/screw technique with your panels you basically nail screw in at the tounge joint only because the holds the next panel in place. Second you probably should have use the plastic material you used in the ceiling for the side panels. One thing I didn’t like and I’m hoping you improve the the window trim paneling. I thoughts the cuts were sloppy and it to be honest would look better with no paneling around the windows. It is very noticeable also because the window are a focal point for out eyes we are always going to look through them. The only other thing I don’t understand why you used a wood surface for your shower. Why not use ceramic tile it at least on the floors and walls I know it’s boat but I thin the tile should hold. Or perhaps some concrete or plastic insert tray. Maybe a fiberglass shower tray and side panels. Would didn’t seem like a week thought out solution. Well that’s it we do appreciate your show and admire all you do
The impression I’m getting is that you are doing your buildout using good old common sense - just love your videos. Look forward to all your other boat projects.
Long time since you posted a clip 😢 I am impressed with your organization of stuff. I'm trying to do the same in my little storage room / workshop but you have a lot more space than me.
Great work i really enjoy u r video's I have one little advice for u if u can paint u r boat specially in the under water part with line x u r boat will not rust at all for the 20 years or more
Great work and progress... But I wonder why you did not install those new batteries and charging system in the storage space down under? Why take up precious space in the living area? And, realy....cover that wonderful roof you made? Why then spend all that time making it if you are not going to have it visible? Keep the good stuff coming... ;)
You do really fantastic work, all round. From my armchair my suggestion is to identify all your flammable/chemicals and move them to the upper deck - even constructing a simple steel locker to hold them securely.
So what do you do for fresh water and how do you get rid of grey water and black water? Seems like that has to be a big issue sitting in the middle of a river which I doubt you can drink and certainly can't discharge in.
You should have built the whole upper structure of your large boat with treated lumber! Its cheaper, lighter, doesn't rust and it insulates better and doesn't sweat! No welding just deck screws!
I just wonder how long it will be before the roof starts leaking from your "expert" telling you to put all the screws in the valleys. It isn't an if, it's a when.
That a lot of progress. Congratulations, you really did an amazing job with that boat. I was wondering why you didn't grab the opportunity to make a terrasse on the roof?
There is something so perfectly fitting when you are giving a status update and say "this is my first boat". Made me laugh! glad to see work continuing on it.
It’s coming along very nicely mate and can see your vision for that old barge. You have all that room in the basement of that barge so I’m questioning why you wouldn’t have put the new batteries, inverter and charger down there. How do you find those Eve batteries? I’m looking into them for my house. I put 15Kw of solar on my roof last year only to find that we have to pay most days to export our solar into the grid here in Australia. The government is giving out grants for going solar but now during the day there’s an over supply of electricity on sunny days. I can get 15Kw of Eve batteries for about $5500 AUD
For my battery build I used a daily BMS as well. It died on me after a year and a half. That said I'm not sure whether it was fluke or not, but have a back up. Afterwards I ran a overkill BMS and haven't had a problem, but I switch to a higher capacity off the shelf battery. Keep a back up BMS if it's important. I know it defeats the purpose of a diy battery bank....
Sorta surprised that you didn't put the new battery bank below deck with the old one. Probably could move that battery and a few panels to one of the other projects and just run the lights off the LIFE cells.
I am curious why you didn't put the batteries and inverter downstairs perhaps on the opposite side from the generator. Which would free up the room upstairs for more activities? Keep up the good work... PS> I LOVE the floors!
Maybe you’re interested in a system that combines lead and lithium. Each type has its pros and cons, but there’s a way to integrate the benefits of both into one system. A clever living-aboard TH-camr developed a controller for it. The BankManager is a Battery Bank Management System (BBMS) designed to optimize the use of lithium (LiFePO4) and lead-acid batteries within the same system. It helps prevent overcharging, extends battery life.
Looking good. I would like you to do a bit on your sight lines - limits from your helm. I imagine there is quite a large area in front of the boat that you can't see. Will you be installing cameras up front to assist with navigation?

lol . Clearly not more oxygen is the answer. But having an emergency co2 gas to flood the air would put out any fire.

You should be very proud of this boat. It's amazing.
I'm just imagining some sort of seat on rails for the underdeck so you could sit down and push yourself/what you needed along the length rather than crawl/hunch over.
Take good care of the ventilation of the underdeck space. There are a lot of combustible fluids there. Some gases are heavier than air!

To me, your Boat/Home looks like a dream come true!
You should put that rubber sheet on the podium too, dance parties can get slippery. Lookin great!

I would be interested what every boat costs, what do you do for your living to finance everything?
It’s really looking good! And your skills have improved greatly!
Impressive, as always. Thanks for the update tour.
Looks great.
Have been watching since the ingots in the bilge.
Hell yeah.
Wow, you have done a great job since you first started with your “First Boat.” I could not have done it without professional help. When You have guests over for that Dance Party, please film that and present the viewers with examples of Living the Barge Life.
Superb… - Watching (for yonks) from Belfast, Northern Ireland…
Looks very comfortable. Nice work on the new additions.
Coming along quite nicely. Watching from Panama City Florida,USA. 🇺🇸🦅 !

I love your videos! Thanks for sharing! I see you as equal parts boat captain, engineer, craftsman level jack of all trades and artist!
Very impressive! You have come a very long way with this craft!! Congrats
Recently visited your boat 🛥️ on a Green Kajak 🛶 looks really nice!

Happy to see the progress as always. Your planning amazes me. The boat is looking awesome!
You’ve done well!
That’s quite the flotilla you have there and it looks like a west marine store in the lower area, excellent job.
It's very much improved, good luck with your live aboard life!
The impression I’m getting is that you are doing your buildout using good old common sense - just love your videos. Look forward to all your other boat projects.
Hi, the big boat is looking brilliant an excellent job.Cheers,Roly🇬🇧.
The underside storage is asking for a rail system with a single board cart to roll through quickly and easily move items to the exit hatch.
👍endlich mal was Neues, und es geht weiter.
The house boat looks brilliant. All of your vlogs are so interesting. Thank you.
Long time since you posted a clip 😢
I am impressed with your organization of stuff. I'm trying to do the same in my little storage room / workshop but you have a lot more space than me.
As usual I have enjoyed every video that you have produced.
Great work i really enjoy u r video's
I have one little advice for u if u can paint u r boat specially in the under water part with line x u r boat will not rust at all for the 20 years or more
Thanks for this video bro hope all is well with you and your family ❤
Everything looks great good job,
You are completely amazing 🤩 post more.
Great work and progress...
But I wonder why you did not install those new batteries and charging system in the storage space down under?
Why take up precious space in the living area?
And, realy....cover that wonderful roof you made?
Why then spend all that time making it if you are not going to have it visible?
Keep the good stuff coming... ;)
Well done to you both happy boating 😊
wow! its really coming together
Well done its very organized 👌👌
You do very meticulous work. I think you need to secure everything in case you encounter rough water when a strong storm shows up. I mean everything.
Amazing. Thank you for your work and video.
make sure you have fire extinguishers in the storage space.
Automatic fire suppression is probably a good idea
You do really fantastic work, all round. From my armchair my suggestion is to identify all your flammable/chemicals and move them to the upper deck - even constructing a simple steel locker to hold them securely.
Everything looks so close to being done. Sad to see you never got that generator sorted.

There is something so perfectly fitting when you are giving a status update and say "this is my first boat". Made me laugh! glad to see work continuing on it.
Wow that’s a regular hardware store. There is a large investment in tools and parts.
Slowly but surely, you're getting there!
Beautiful achievement!
I’m very impressed with your work
I like the clean design you use.
For longevity of your battery you should slightly compress the whole battery assembly so that they will not start to bulge and loose capacity.
Very nice - true independence
It’s coming along very nicely mate and can see your vision for that old barge. Beautiful living space
Looking forward to the next videos....nice work....and it makes you happy
You should run taught wire through the bottom of the raining and have it close together at the bottom in case the dog gets out on the deck
I feel like you missed a golden opportunity to say: Let me show you it's features!
including the sanitary installations
slingshot ref? :P

I cant understand why you would want to make such a complicated and lovely floor when you knew you were going to cover it with rubber mats.
😂 Brain puzzles
Fantastic work

Why didn't you put your battery bank in the bilge that way you wouldn't have taken room up in your living room area
Just love your under deck store room. - challenge- go find me a left handed metric crescent wrench convertible to imperial, bsp and standard 😊😊😊🇬🇧
nice job so far.. but where is the head?
Thanks for the update and tour🎉
You should put a trolley or something under the deck so you can get through without crawling
Looking good. I would like you to do a bit on your sight lines - limits from your helm. I imagine there is quite a large area in front of the boat that you can't see.
Will you be installing cameras up front to assist with navigation?
Schön wie du AdbA untefgemixt hast
Outstanding!
I just love your battleship grey colour scheme, when are you fitting the main armament?🇬🇧😊
Thanks
