yes we must write narration for each entry. along with due or received, you must specify the number of share and amount per share in narration

I have explained the entries as per our state syllabus. You can also use calls in arrears account in 6th and 7th entry as per cbsc syllabus. Both are correct. But the analysis which I made in this video, is not suitable if you use calls in arrears in the journal entries.
you can use both methods. But for safer side use calls in arrears in journal entry. I will solve the problems using calls in arrears very soon. keep watching

6 marks questions are very similar to 12 marks problems of this chapter.. but they do ask only 6 entries. on application (2), allotment(2) and calls(2). they won't ask entries for forfeiture.. thats it.
so if u practice 12 marks questions, you can easily solve 6 marks questions as well and it will be very easy don't worry..

u mean in last entry?? yes it is always same.. last entry is made to transfer balance of forfieited share a/c
to capitall reserve.. so amt must be same in both credit and debit

Ma'am, the seventh entry would start from bank account dr to forfeiture account to share first and final call account
I've been doing the same as you in preparatory , but then Ive lost 5 marks for those 3entries , so then I realised it was wrong method.😐😐
you might have done in different ways or might have taken wrong amount.. But these journal entries are not wrong. However if u lost marks for the same reason, verify it in your books and just discuss with your lecturer.
after receiving first and final call money from shareholders(6th entry), next transaction should be cancellation of shares which are forfieited..
so for cancellation of shares we should debit share capital account and not bank account.
So it is better to discuss with your lecturer - the reason for cutting marks
