There is a pinball museum in Krakow Poland with about a hundred machines. I tried them all at least once, the Shadow was one of my favorites with Medieval Madness. Some of the transfers weren't working but I still shredded the battlefield and ended up with something like 330 million. Still have the pic on my old phone, amazing machine.
Shadow Magazine was something that came out in the 30s along with Pulp novels. It was followed by the Shadow Radio plays. starting in 1937. The Shadow was a character was a rich playboy type (Lamont Cranston) who operated as a vigilante with a form of mental invisibility -- something he learned during his time in the East. Several actors played him on the Radio plays, including Orson Wells. I've listened to several of the radio plays -- for their time they aren't half bad for a pre-superhero era superhero. There were several movies in the thirties, and some serials. The pinball machine is based on the 1994 movie.
Go from having nothing wrong to thinking you are gonna go blind/die. Still sends me into straight up panic every time. Luckily only a couple a year. Good luck w/yours
