You have a great parenting style. As an older person, whenever the child cries, I want to pick them up and comfort them. In reality, you should let the child do it on their own, even if they are throwing a small tantrum. It gives them a sense of independence, and control. So, if Nathan falls in the puddle, let him fall and he begins to understand reality. Great job to you both !!!

you need to get Ted used to pulling the cart empty first, use a separate lead so he knows you want him to go forward by pulling on it, then add a little weight at a time.

My husband and I have traveled in an RV with 3 medium to big sized dogs and 2 little ones. No kids. These have been some of our dearest memories. The dogs love being able to explore the outdoors. The 2 little ones would ride in a stroller. Many of the other tourists would love to stop and meet the dogs. Enjoy all your times together.
Nathan is so cute - he gets a little upset when he falls in the puddle, but after just a minute or so, he’s back to happily splashing away. And Mia loves it too; she’s just ladylike enough to not like water splashing on her clothes. 😁

No Teddy didnt like being splashed you could tell when he kept backing away our huskies dont like being splashed either. He did make a wonderful ornament thou sitting on the table

Your dogs aren’t “lazy”, they’re not wearing a proper harness to pull that amount of weight. They’re just wearing a collar. That’s way too much pressure to be putting on their neck. Smart dogs
