There are general terms that are used to communicate what your practice mainly focuses on, but witches do not usually focus on just one facet. This entire song and video was a trip. I was completely hooked. The energy you're putting out in this whole production is incredible. @bestbi3587 No, it's not a turn of phrase or reference as far as I'm aware, I personally like the phrase because of its rhythm and because of the supernatural connotation as well. In English, there is the word sky for the literal sky and heaven for like the holy realm of God or just a supernatural realm, while in German, the word "Himmel" is commonly used for both sky and heaven. This gives "der himmel ist mein Zimmer" a kind of ambiguity, a mystical touch, fitting with the witchy magic theme of the entire song, sounding almost like a spell. This is, of course, only an interpretation on my part, but I hope it helps!

Classic Klezmer trait, although to be fair that technique is found in music all over the world not just Klezmer. But the instrumentation and the key signature really make it seem like that to me.

@bestbi3587 No, it's not a turn of phrase or reference as far as I'm aware, I personally like the phrase because of its rhythm and because of the supernatural connotation as well. In English, there is the word sky for the literal sky and heaven for like the holy realm of God or just a supernatural realm, while in German, the word "Himmel" is commonly used for both sky and heaven. This gives "der himmel ist mein Zimmer" a kind of ambiguity, a mystical touch, fitting with the witchy magic theme of the entire song, sounding almost like a spell. This is, of course, only an interpretation on my part, but I hope it helps!

The first video was the awe inspiring feminine energy, something that to witness as a man is humbling. This video is showcases the fearful feminine rage, a righteous indignation I dare not oppose, waiting stoic and prone and hoping my heart is pure enough to be spared the wrathful flames.
I'm not a woman, but I have been in past lives, and the women in my communities have it some of the worst of any women on earth. I was never the type of person to have a favourite singer - only favourite songs. But then I discovered Kiki and my whole world changed. Every song she produces speaks to me.
