It sound amazing. I have an SQ strat, and it's one of the best guitars I have played, hands down. The guitar player from my former band had a 66 jazzmaster, 335 customer shop etc. I want to find an SQ P bass. Your's sounds like an pre cbs P. Even more than the the JVs I have heard.
I used rattle cans or spray cans as we call them in Australia. Cost me about $100 and a fair bit of time and elbow grease. I did a crap job to be honest i should've taken more time.
i've used both, not a comparable set to (longscale TI and shortscale labellas). i liked the labellas a lot more. felt more silky smooth. something which threw me off on the TI's is that the D and G strings have a slightly different texture than the E and A strings. weird feeling

Every EMG pickup I've seen had the EMG brand etched into the cover. The covers on those are not removable either. So what pickup is this actually?
did you know that wood is not magnetic? and the pickups don't pick up the sound from the wood?

I've never used TI flatwounds, always been a LaBella guy. How do you like those strings?
