GOD...I HAVE SO LONGED FOR THIS!!! The series wrapped up over three, and a half years ago, but it's seemed like a million years. I've missed seeing them in any new episodes, but been addicted to watching the old ones over, and over, as it is one of the greatest series of all-time.

I am so impressed with the producers... they dont involve nudity..bad language or any other dark and raunchiness throughout its contents.. .like every other series I have tried to watch on Netflix .I am totally impressed.. kudos to the English for this. I give this series a 5 star plus. Love this era in time as well.
The season-enders were always the shows where someone FINALLY got a match. From the evidence of the trailers, Tom Branson will finally find his match. Thomas possibly as well--if not Mr. Right, then Mr. Right Now.
Because its not exciting or high budget and only has an audience for mostly the older generation. My grandparents would be interested but other then that I couldn't think of anyone else around me that would be. It won't make much money compared to most movies.
So I haven't watched the last season of Downton, because I just couldn't bare the thought of not having new episodes to watch. But once I saw that trialer I started watiching it again and just now I finished the last episode and watched the trailer. I cried watching the last episode. I was so happy to see that Barrow was staying at the Downton. It might seem crazy but in some way I feel connected to that character and I'm so happy to see that he finally will finde someone. Anyways, I just had to write my wild thoughts down, so I can now rest my brain and go to sleep. Can't wait for September.

Others like me? Probably 20 years ago, I set my DVR to record "Masterpiece" on Sunday nights. Some single episode dramas or mysteries, some 3 or 4 episodes. I'd watch a majority of them, sometimes I'd watch a few minutes and delete the ones that didn't interest me. One Monday morning, (I worked overnights) I pushed "play" to view the previous night's recording. "How wonderful" I thought, "a wealthy English family, reading the newspaper account of the sinking of the Titanic". "Okay", I thought, "this may be enjoyable". That's how I got on the Downton train. Stumbled onto Episode 1, and never looked back. I always enjoyed knowing that I "got in on the ground floor". Anyone else find Episode 1 in "real time"?
I think this will easily get the best picture or best costume design at least. I can't wait for these TV family to return! They used to exhaust me with quarrels and other mess, but it's a masterpiece

I literally just finished watching the show (yeah I never had the chance to watch it until now) and I knew they made a movie years later so I had to come see the trailer, and ohhh, even tho to me it's just been some minutes since I finished the show, watching the trailer felt like it's been a few years for me too, but it is so wonderful to see all of them back, oh I'm now even more excited to see the movie.
no they didn't.. because ever member of the household (22 in all) all have an indivual plot which will be solved in the 2hours of the film. Like how do the abbey's household (ie the servants) deal with the snobbishness of the Royal Household (the servants)?
All I can say is that I'm happy that I didn't know about Downton Abbey when it has been released (2010-2015) but only finished it recently... like that the waiting for the movie isn't too long for me... I miss the Dowager so much I can't wait
