Man, as Galician this simply feels amazing. Lots of literature/music recommendations here if you wish for them. By the way, great taste with Baiuca and Tanxugueiras (I went to a concert just yesterday). I cannot say the same about Fillas de Cassandra though, not really my cup of tea...😊 Lots of love from Galicia, and thanks for the shoutout to our country!
I happened to see Baiuca live in Nürnberg in July - that's how this started, haha! Drop anything you got! Galicia appears to be in a great space for music right now!
@@OneProudBavarian Okay, some music: Mondra (a lot of queer energy that fuses techno-pop with traditional Galician folk music, he is really trending right now) Hugo Guezeta (rap with a hard-sounding flow) Fuxan os ventos (this one is quite older, and they are a semi-folk group with a Galician nationalistic focus) Carlos Núñez (a genius musician, cannot even be put into words, check it yourself) Dakidarria (some local urban/ska folks that used to be quite popular) There, hope you enjoy any of them and let me know if you want any more info on Galician culture (books, history, towns to visit, etc). I think it's reasonable that an Armenian woman showed up there on her pilgrimage, and the guy just told everyone she was his princess, and the legend just got out of control from there
Galicia/Galiza. Both forms are correct. And depending on where you are in Galicia, it is pronounced differently: "Galicia, Jalisia, Jalicia, Galisia, Galiza, Jalisa, Jaliza, Galisa". (J sounding like H in house and Z/C sounding like TH in think).
Fun Fact: The Bragança House was the first and the last House to ruled most of the Portuguese history and all Brazilians monarch's. Great vídeo and i would really like to see Portugal been formed on this campaign
Different House of Bragança. The house of Bragança you're thinking of was originally, if I recall correctly, an illegitimate cadet branch of the royal dynasty of Portugal. This earlier house of Bragança is an entirely different dynasty.
I think you are the first person to have NPE on for a playthrough. While it can be jank, I appreciate that you enjoyed the research done by Palfouri and my other contributors. I can also help you pronounce them if needbe
Also, regarding the pronunciation, both are fine. Pick the one you are the most comfortable with, for real. In the native tongue is pronounced in both ways depending on the region.
My favorite part about the Iberian Struggle is being some completely random religion coming out of nowhere with the steel chair to enter Iberiabowl. Could be funny and interesting to see you do that to truly solidify the legitimacy of your dynasty. Not only did you finally bring peace but enlightenment in your name.
We use both, Galiza and Galicia. Galiza is the Galician name, Galicia is the Castilian/Spanish version. But due to the pressure of Castillian (Spanish) institutions and language, some Galician varieties adopted (long ago, around 200 years probably) the Galicia variant. So right now depending on the area, the family or the dialect/variety of Galician (even of Galician-Portuguese, as Brazilians ise mostly "Galicia"), you would hear both names (wich actually are 4 regarding pronunciation).
In the board game thing you're supposed to read the last quote that's in brackets. That should give you an indication of what your opponent is going to play, so you can counter it. You calling in the Normans reminded me of one of my Playthroughs that had a "Lombard kingdom" spawn in Italy with a really nice light blue color. Turns out it was just a peasant rebellion though. Once I started in Iberia with the goals of making mozarabic and the Toledo kingdom. But I decided to start as a 12 year old child to get extra points. (And it was really worth it since I got the 4 star education) But I got the heresiarch priest questline thing that turned me into a 13 year old lollard heresiarch.
I am rolllling at the state of this campaign. Lolol, but honestly it’s nice to see a TH-camr campaign where everything isn’t working out just perfectly.
So sad that suebi culture is not available in CKIII for 867 in de jure Galicia as it was in CKII. It's fun to play as iberianized germans with ridiculous names.

I believe that the devs may confused Duke Alan III for Duke Alain; the prior being the father of Mendo Alão; Galician Knight and Lord of Bragança.
