12-26-23 I have never fished crawfish using the rubber band method. Thanks for sharing your techniques. I really enjoy your program and try to watch everything you produce.
Nice job on the video!. You make me feel like I'm fishing right beside you. Informative, gentlemanly, polite and genuinely positive outlook on life! Good for you! I never miss your videos and really appreciate the effort you put into your work. Tight lounges and good luck to you sir
I already subscribe a ton of fishing channels and I really don't wanna get anymore. But, man couple of minutes seeing this guy and I had to. Keep on man, great channel
Mr. Richard Gene, another good trip using live crawfish. It's amazing how those spots pull. They are a strong fish for sure. They fight like a small mouth bass. Smaller, quicker, stronger than most large mouths. Hated to see that 11 footer break at the handle. tnxs fo the video.
Nice! We feel about the same way about fishing. If I never got hooked once in a while, line tangles, wet and muddy, or had to figure ways to get my fishing poles back out of the water from a pole thief, it would mean that I was not fishing. Just to get out, is a realized blessing for me. Thank You for you videos. Captain Carpman
I fish a little south of you on the coosa river! Mostly bass fishing and I don't normally fish with live bait but watching you use live bait helps alot! Match the hatch right!
lol... I used leftover cooked crawfish (just the peeled tails) as bait for the first time last month. I was shocked that I caught so many catfish. I will definitely try the live ones next time. Enjoying your video so far.
I always look forward to seeing your vids. I've learned more from watching you than I ever did on my own. TGBTG (To God Be The Glory) Your one cool dude, Richard. Keep up the good work.
I love the cardinal 4 reels thats' what I use mainly. The 1st Cardinals, built in Sweden, not the ones built afterwards in Germany. The cardinal 3 is also an excellent reel, great for those paper mouths, (Crappie). About the only problems I have ever had with either is the bail springs. When you picked up that reel Richard, I knew what it was immediately, and just as quickly subscribed. Good luck and good Fishing.
It’s the challenge of fishing that makes it ok!!! Love it brother!!!! You ought to consider coming to the catfish conference in Louisville in February!!
The way that 11 footer was bending all the way down to the grip on the fight sorta made me think it looked like a long trolling rod. I see a lot of walleye trolling setups like that at around 9 ft long.
Like your use of rubber bands, such a great idea, gonna try this when I'm livebaiting with small trout for Pike, makes sense both from a fishing point of view keeping the bait active for longer, and also a little less cruel for the unlucky bait fish! Found you in my search as the lake I'm fishing has been overrun by signal crayfish, my target fish is Carp and wondered if you have caught carp using live crayfish?
Great info, I was wondering if that 11’ rod was going to hold up. I hate that it broke on ya had a rod break on for the first time this past summer. Thanks again for the amazing content and sportsmanship.
Sir what can I say but that your amazing I wish I live by you I would come and talk to you everyday cause you are like a book of amazing bass heck all kinds of fishing know how I mean you know what, when, were, how,to get the fish your fishing for if I was your neighbor your would get sick of me cause you have so much to teach I would love to get it all sir I live in Blount country Alabama or Hayden and I'm glad to see others from are state doing what your doing sir your great and I really want to say thanks and I appreciate all you do sir
Hi RG! Awesome video as always but I wondered how you know that some bass clip off a crawdad's pincers and how they orient the crawfish or turn it in their mouth?
I was fishing 🎣 in Wisconsin one time and my rod broke on a cast and thank goodness the rod floated so I was able to get my tackle and reel back. The guy I was fishing with thought I threw my pole in and was laughing at me till he realized what happened. And to this day I don’t buy cheap rods or ones that don’t go through the Handle.
We have a lake in upstate Pennsylvania that was strictly trout. There were a pile of crawfish. You could see them in daylight just walking around at the boat launch. Someone or a group illegally put in smallmouth bass. If I go there now there isn't a crawfish to be found. I'm sure there are still some under rocks, but nothing like it was. Like how you set up the hook on the crawfish. If the rubber band breaks the crawfish can go free and unhurt.
"Looky ther wut-a feesh!". I look forward to hearing that every video. I absolutely love this guy!

I learn just as much on these older vids as I do on the newer ones. Love the spotted bass catches, a man after my own heart....
12-26-23 I have never fished crawfish using the rubber band method. Thanks for sharing your techniques. I really enjoy your program and try to watch everything you produce.
wow I have never ever seen somebody use an elastic and hook to that to keep the bait alive, that's amazing 👏
I'd have been pinched 10 times before I got that first rubber band around that mudpuppy! You are fearless.
Back to my favorite channel along with TyPigPatrol this is the best fishing channel on TH-cam.
For sure! Keep it real!
Me and my daughter caught us some crawfish in the front yard this morning and we are going to try this technique in the morning! Love it

The Machine is making fishing great again.
Mr. Gene it is a pleasure to watch you work sir!
It's Awesome how you give your fish a nice release and not just throwing them back out there like a piece of trash. Like so many others do.
I like the way you thanked the fish. A true sportsman.
Yet another great video that showed me a few tricks I wouldn’t have otherwise learned. Thank you for uploading these videos and sharing with us all.

Every time your video ends my 1 year old starts dancing to your outro. Its the best.
The biggest crappie I have ever got was on a big Crawdad when I was cat fishing.

Hi Richard Gene The Fishing Machine, I hope you and your family are doing good. I was wondering how you take the one pincher off the claw?
Those Spotted Bass are beauties Gene. I just recently learned to appreciate them. They eat pretty good too don't they?
I just bought a Garcia Mitchell 300 in perfect shape for 2:00 bucks at a auction
love it

Glad you got to catch a Bass on that rod before it broke!
What if you don’t have the rubber band, from where do you hook the crawfish 🦞?
Hi RG! Awesome video as always but I wondered how you know that some bass clip off a crawdad's pincers and how they orient the crawfish or turn it in their mouth?
I'm sure I'm not the only one who likes the video before I watch it....
I commented too soon........I like that first and third rod.....lol
