Never thought i’d ever get to ride a 10 story hydraulic elevator. Boy is it cool. I wanna bet this thing is low on oil A LOT because of how high it travels and how much oil it uses, the tank is probably also humongous.

This has to be the world record for the tallest hydraulic elevator! Normally this is the point where they start installing tractions entirely.
Whiskey blue Atlanta is 12 floor but this thing is way more interesting

I’ve seen one with the same power unit and same sounds and they have to refil it every week or two

Damn that thing is tall. And that startup is epic. the pump is prob so big. The amount of oil probably needed for that thing prob insane.

Not too long ago, I went on a 10-story hydro in NYC. At first, I thought it was a traction elevator.
Probably is a world record lol, I definitely want to see the machine to see how big the oil tank is. The tallest hydro I've been on is 8 stories.
I’ve been on whiskey blue and been next to the machine room. Keycarded and it definitely has 2 pumps. I’ve ridden a impulse just like this with 8 floor. Same motor sound and same low on oil soind

There is a chance its not low on oil but freaks out on leveling on R because it does not go up there often. I've seen it before on a chained hydro miconic.

I’ve seen a 8 floor tk hydro and the machine was 8 feet tall maybe taller. I’ve seen a 8 floor hydro and it sounded the same and was also low on oil and was also a impulse

@@elevating_western_washington What I mean by the last part is that they have the same power unit motor. Probably Dovers power unit with the biggest tank. The motor had to be over 100hp for this

@@elevating_western_washington It's rare to see a 10 floor hydraulic elevator. Usually, hydraulic elevators serve 5 to 6 floors. Even an 8 floor hydraulic elevator is rare.
The highest hydro I have been on was like 7 stories.
It has to be a roped hydraulic.
