This router jig has helped me a lot when doing tiring handicraft work that takes many hours. I always liked to do this finish on my drawers and cabinet doors, I always used a hand gouge for this purpose, and as you know, it took some time, until I discovered this tool, and everything became clearer.

If you made the base for this circular, you could use it to carve out a very nice divot in a piece of wood. Swing it back and forth and rotate it in a circle.

It would have taken you DAYS to put those few scoops in soft wood? Nah making that mdf gadget would take longer. A carving gouge and a couple of hours tops for that!

It has its place in fine woodworking. With a larger bowl bit you make really cool Japanese inspired cabinet doors and drawer fronts. It can add a really cool flare to your woodworking. I have been wanting to make this jig for a while. He made making the jig look easy.
