Sharing with you my experience as a nurse from the Philippines who got sponsored to work as a nurse in Alberta, Canada through the Alberta Health Services Internationally Educated Nurses Recruitment Initiative (a.k.a. Pilot Program). I am very grateful for this opportunity since I have been looking into practicing nursing in Alberta since I was younger!

congratulations po. I also would like to migrate and work as a RN in Alberta. I just recently passed the NCLEX-RN but I applied in New York. Know I'm trying agency that will assist me on processing however I couldn't find one. I just trying my luck and just doing DYI. As of the moment I haven't done anything yet.

Hi! Sorry for the late reply. I believe it’s not open since maybe June or July. But you can try to apply through other pipelines like rural (links’ here). ☺️

Hi! You may ask them kindly (to follow up) since I know they are assessing a lot of applications. I don't think a WES evaluation is needed at this point, but you can ask them about that as well. You can always ask and patiently wait for their response ☺

Thanks so much for the details you provided in the video,a little confusion o have though is that you stated that you sent your college diploma and you were approved as a registered nurse, I earlier heard diploma equates LPN...pls clarify for me.
College diploma is just the document. :) But my Education Credential Assessment (via WES) was Bachelor’s degree.

My wife is jamaican, she is trying migrate through AHS, however, she hasn't done NCLEX yet, I want to know if she could do the NCLEX in canada after getting the provisional license or she would have to do it in jamaica
Yes one of my batchmates took her NCLEX upon arriving in Canada. :)

Hi. Im an operating room nurse.. Working in saudi Arabia.. 15plus years experience. I've applied for crna and im completed the process waiting for final approval from CRNA. Nclex is still pending. We are planning to move canada with family. My question is we need to apply for PR seperatly right? Ahs pilot program doesn't provide the PR right?
hi, if you're hired under the AHS Pilot Program, they will sponsor PR applications po. and that includes your family :) nagkataon lang po na nakapag apply na kami bago po ako nag apply sa AHS.

Yes there’s no more talent page like the ones we had. You can apply directly on the job posting. If you don’t have a status in Canada just put “need sponsorship to come to Canada”.

It is just like your certificate of employment and there was just a statement added that “this is to further certify that English language is used in the official transactions of the hospital” something like that.

Thank you very much for the video, l am a Nurse from Nigeria l pass through all the process of AHS pilot, and everything was moving smoothly till the interview stage, l was so excited when l got to the stage , hoping after the interview l will be given to job offer, only for me to receive a heart breaking News that due to much application. They will not continue with my application.

God bless on your NCLEX exam!😊 Actually it depends, if you are under the Pilot Program and you pass the interview, they will have to find a job offer that matches your experience & background. It could take weeks to maybe 2 months. I heard that floor and ER nurses get job offers faster.

@@ruchirapeiris2088 It's possible. But after getting the permit once you're under the Pilot Program, you will go through the interview. Once you pass that, they will match your skills, expertise & experience with a job offer. ☺

How can I apply for AHS pilot program , I passed NCLEX already and got license from Alberta . But I don't have work visa .
I just got an email from ahs saying, that they closed the ahs pilot program. I guess everybody is back to job hunting in the ahs website. You got a license thats an advantage over those who dont. Im just trying my luck applying to anything thats not an HCA or psychiartric nurse position.
Hi! I asked the program head of the Pilot program and they said that they are currently finishing all the assessments from the past months. Once they're done, they will reopen the pipeline. Just keep watch raw po dun sa link (International Applicants) weekly. Wag po mawalan ng pag-asa. :)
Hello! They will be reopening soon. If you can wait for that, just keep checking the International Applicants weekly if the pipeline for the Pilot Program will be back. Meanwhile, you may want to check out the careers page or the rural sign up page at AHS and try applying for positions. Just note that your status is "needs sponsorship to work in Canada". :)

For those who didn’t pass the interview, you can try other options such as apply through AHS’ rural recruitment or through Covenant Health since you already have a CRNA permit. 😊
Is the covenant health partnered with AHS? Or under AHS?

Yes, you can apply for the AHS Pilot even without being in the express entry pool. Once you are hired, you may be nominated by Alberta (just need to have a minimum of 300 CRS) and you can get +600 CRS points. :)

@@preetibhusal2926 Oh that's close. You can boost your score by getting a higher IELTS/CELPIP rating. Then maybe try asking someone who finished the same degree as yours (or the same school) if IQAS gives you a much better rating than WES.

Hi I applied for this and got the email to upload necessry documents. I have already passed my NCLEX and i have Texas BON license; however I wasn’t told to start CRNA process. Last month I got an email about signing the consent and today I received an email that I have been shortlisted for an interview. I am wondering do I need to do anything else.
