I'm working on my first line star now and it's kinda wonky putting it together. Either I cut poorly, stitched off or stretched my diamonds out of shape! I'm putting with it as I put it together so hopefully it comes out good. My diamonds ARE lining up so that's great! Lol
Attempted to make this before, pressed seams to one side AND did the "Y" seam version...sadly it never got quilted because it wouldn't lay flat. Your version makes more sense I think I will try it ... Bless you!!!

If making 3”’strips of 4 colors what size triangles would I make.
