Great video👍👍👍 I was born there in Chimalhuacan Mexico, you brought me memories from my childhood. I agree with you on your feedback unfortunately the lack of opportunities and lack of education made us have no choice.. One thing I would like to highlight is the people who live over there they don’t realize or notice what foreigners see, because it is part of our everyday living..
You're welcome, and you're absolutely right. I think any of us become accustomed to what we grow up with, it becomes the norm and we have to do what we have to do to survive!
Thank you David for great video that i enjoyed and i have many memories that become inolvidable anyway I grew in Neza from 70, 80 and 90 and i lived few places in Neza now in USA for good hope to go back to visit one day soon, and I wish you exactly what i wish to myself all the best to you and to all.
My wife tells stories of growing up in neza back then they would lay on the roof and watch the gangs listening to status quo and normally fight gangs from others streets bats machetes pipes then the police would come and start killing some people who hadn’t got away quickly enough apparently the police decided to start killing the gang leaders in there homes and many off them fleed to the USA a positive outcome because there are no street gangs in nezahualcoyotl or I haven’t seen any in Mexico City maybe in the north etc
Hola David , saludos .
When I was at Uni (UNAM), there was a guy from Ciudad Neza, incredibly poor, studying architecture. They told me that he lived in a place where his whole family lived in one room, about 10 of them I think. He also looked like he did not develop properly due to his poor childhood, he hardly spoke. But he was in Uni. I would like to see a guy like that in University in the USA or the UK.
In the UK, those people would simply over-claim benefits from the government by faking back injuries or having excess children they can't afford instead of striving to improve themselves. Good on this guy!
@@davidostrowski679 No, the social services are first class in England but Uni education is a problem for the poor. In Scotland, it is like in Mexico, you can go to Uni for free. My point is the opposite of what you say: in Mexico Uni education is free for those who simply cannot help themselves by getting money to pay for a private Uni. In the UK, If you are disabled and you cannot work, tough, the social services need to help you. That is a good thing. The only time people fake things is when they want to claim from private insurance.
@@davidostrowski679 BTW, I talked about that guy because my children will have to go to Uni in England, not Scotland, so we will have to fork out the money to pay for it.
I’m a big fan of your channel, you are a kind person. I like the humanistic point of view. But maybe is not the best idea going those places carrying a camera, as in any other big city in the world safety is first. Ok, you proved your point. On the other hand, the vast majority of people living there is good prople, hard workers and loving parents looking for the best for their children. Keep up making videos!

If you're ever feeling adventurous you can take the bus up to "pileta parte alta" pass Chimalhuacán and that will take you to Chimalhuacán's planetarium/water park nice area and you can see a big part of mexico from this area as "pileta" is all the way up to the top of Chimalhuacán's "cerro" (hill). Amazing to have seen my community through your eyes (Nostalgia). Feel free to check out my humble guitar videos.
@@javierorduna6914 amazing stuff. Community always wins.
Nice Video 👍🏼 que "Viva Neza" Are used to live there So much memories I live in LA now
Hola tocayo, gracias por regresar a México
Tocayo! Gracias amigo 🇲🇽🇲🇽
Dang I always go to Neza but I never seen those area, no muy bonito. I guess my suegra lives in a nice area. But I love it! Thank you for sharing!
thanks for bringing us these learnings about other cultures
you're welcome Nicki, thanks for watching!
woooow
its an honour having you around here :D
I'm living in Iztapalapa at the moment. Shall I come back to Neza lol
Cool, we have the same approach of visiting a place as a local. I was in Netza for a week, even walking there at night. But it is definitively a place to be very cautious.
Hey! That's awesome! When I'm back in Mexico next year I'm considering staying there also, or somewhere in Iztapalapa
Yes I agree you always want to know the area especially if your walking around after dark many don’t
Suerte 🤞
Gracias amigo, siempre voy yo!
Saludos
Jajajaj ni es para tanto
As always I found this video very interesting. Mexico has so many small towns like this one. Love the shot of the VW so typical Mexico.
We are a city not a town and the most densely populated city in all Latin América 😉
@@ctochtli2964 , Sorry, thanks for clarifying that for me. -Marc
So GOOD to see you back in my Mexico. Let me know if you're close to Querétaro.
I might be in Aguascalientes at some point in November but don't think I'm coming to Quere this time
Wow!
Your vids are awesome!
Congrats!
Thank you so much 😀
A very humane view
Hope you can make it to another Dia de Muertos this year. I see that Campeche has a green light and that Morelos is getting a green light on Oct 11th. Now, I can plan a Mexico vacation. Probably still wait until December, just so I can visit with friends during their vacations.
yep i'll be in San Luis for DDM before returning to Europe, we'll see what happens!
14:55 ayo that's crazy back in the 90s i went to that high school next to the stadium in NezaYork it has changed a lot!!! great vid!
Thanks man, I should be back in Neza in the summer! I might even stay there for a while or in Iztapalapa somewhere!
@@davidostrowski679 great vids!! i'm already subscribed!! also try the food inside the markets there's plenty to choose from and it's a bit sad to see the situation in cd neza but i had a great time when i lived there long ago...cheers!!
Bro ! I love it
Thanks bro! I loved Neza! What an awesome place and people from there seem to be so proud of coming from there despite it's reputation. I can relate because where I'm from in London is like the Neza of London LOL
you literally filmed all my neighborhood lmaoo
There were several "World Cup-1986" stadiums. We have one here in Querétaro.
awesome! love a bit of sport history! I was only 4 at the time! Hope you're doing well man!
Yes England played there
Great video👍👍👍 I was born there in Chimalhuacan Mexico, you brought me memories from my childhood.
You're welcome Oscar! I'll probably be back in Neza in a few months
@@davidostrowski679 Thank you greetings from Fl 🇺🇸 looking forward to see your videos
Welcome back to Mexico
Interesting. You certainly are adventuresome. In some ways Neza reminded me of the east side of Guadalajara.
I know what you mean! I always thought Guad was a bit gritty
Hey bro I'm from Neza, I'm proud of my homeland, now I like so much travel around the world, come back soon let go for some micheladas ✌️😎
Sounds like a good plan amigo I'm hoping to be back in the area next Summer hopefully some decent al pastor to go with those micheladas hermano 🇲🇽 🇲🇽
Saludos
In
Scotland, it is like in Mexico, you can go to Uni for free.
One of my favorite things from Oxxo is the coffee
Blimey! You are back in México huh? Saludos
For over a month now amigo
Saludos David 🤗🤗
Great to see my old neighborhood shown by someone not from there. I like it.
Neza pesa!! Thanks for showing my neighbourhood to the world, man!!
Pozdrav Davide! Nice video.
Felicidades amigo, congratulations my friend, God bless your path forever
Gracias amigo!
Helicopter and police sirens Mmmmmmm sounds like Clacton on Sea :-)
haha and Hounslow. Minus the bodybags lol
Thanks man, I have always filmed with a smashed up old smartphone so there's no risk of anyone stealing an expensive camera!
Hey I live here and "I have a camera" 😌 you have some balls to asume my people are all criminals

What do you do for a living in mexico city? And was it hard to look a job with the abcent?
Hi, I make an income from mainly teaching English online to Russian professionals, as well as writing and of course TH-cam! I am only in Mexico for 2 months before going back to Eastern Europe
Have you been to Milpa Alta? Where people live sometime in cardboard box homes.
Nunca te confies demasiado. Siempre con precaución.
You know David my friend have you heard of neza york a place in New York City where many people from nezahualcoyotl originally live but this area neza people are known for there good education and being many professional people
hey man yep I originally mentioned Neza York when I filmed this but I cut it out for length reasons!
Man. You sounded nervous in your whole video. You have big balls my man
That's just the various mental disorders lol
Muy ilustrador e interesante video.
Muchas gracias amigo!
I’m going back to Mexico next summer with my mate, regardless of COVID! 🤣 - We were meant to go this summer... but then we weren’t allowed. (U.K. government is shit)

My brother in law says the same neza football team where champions no ? He was a big supporter also he mentioned the many figha
Maybe you saw Status quo play here because people in nezahualcoyotl love this English group which many people I tell don’t understand but they are part of the history of the neighbourhood

Agreed! I should be back in Neza at some point, currently in Durango!
Come on every big city has its rough places , like Newham, Croydon, westminister in London for example....
haha i used to work in Newham
This isn't "part of a city" this is the city, the 90% of the city is in this condition, ther is only a small part that is "rich" and is almost in other city 😉
Hes turning mexican the way he poured the salsa on that taco.
Please visit monterrey and try cabrito..
WELCOME BACK DAVID! !! I really hope you are not filming by your self. Have fun and take care.
I am! Never had any issues!
I loved the video 👌 since in Africa
Great film,pal.. i noticed how compliant the locals are with the mask rule..Have you ever had an `invite` or opportunity to attend ,(excuse Spanish spelling) eglise del la morti ?(an `interesting` and daunting place, but the congregation makes one feel welcome.?
nope never heard of that. Yep everyone is very compliant and compared to the UK omg it's like a different world!
