Dylan's gruff, declamatory, vocal changes the nature of this song. What could have been maudlin, even self pitying and overly sentimental is instead assertive but emotionally true. This is not a song by a man who feels the need to prove his love because he has the confidence to show it.
I love Dylan…especially his last 20 years but this is an awful treatment of this lovely song. But it’s his to trash if he wants to. Boomers will worship regardless.

My god finally a sensible comment. I was there and it was 100% the worst live show I've ever seen. We were so gutted. We left about half way through, and hundreds of others were leaving also! I'd been to every oldies show at Hyde Park-Eric Clapton, Don Henley, Eagles, Carole King, Neil Young and Tom Petty. Those shows were so special and they were incredible. This was just shocking. He should have hung up his boots years ago. It's criminal to charge people to watch this.
