    The iROCKER Cruiser Ultra strikes a balance between compact/lightweight construction and an accommodating level of stability to be enjoyed by paddlers of all skill sets. Weighing in at just 21 lbs, it is the ideal compact and travel-friendly option for paddling newcomers, paddlers with passengers, and those of us that paddle with adventure gear.
    In the weeks leading up to this video review, we sought out to test the 10’6 x 33” Cruiser Ultra in all of its facets including compactibility, stability, maneuverability, and speed/tracking while weighing the overall value of the SUP and kit.
    When pinned against iROCKER’s original Cruiser, the Cruiser Ultra came out on top in nearly all of our testing. Compared to the rest of iROCKER’s Ultra series, the Cruiser was the most stable of the bunch without making significant sacrifices in other areas of performance.
    In essence, the Cruiser Ultra is more of an ‘all-around’ SUP than a cruiser with all of the benefits of a compact board. On top of that, it comes with one of the highest value accessory kits we’ve seen to date with the inclusion of iROCKER’s 12V Electric Pump.
    Check out our full in-depth video review of the iROCKER Cruiser Ultra for more details and let us know what you think about this SUP in the comments below.

    I really appreciate this review. Very good review. I just got this particular SUP the other day and this is my 1st paddle board I've purchased. I like the explanation of the various components you get in the kit since my kit didn't have any user manual. I unboxed everything but it helped to watch this video and see how everything goes into the carry bag and small zip bag.

    That 5 piece paddle has a lot of flex in your side shot while paddling. There are compromises made in deck layout and fin placement to make it roll up into a smaller package. The cross weave construction is new to isups and other brands are starting to use it like Badfish and Sea Gods in some of their boards.

    • @marej0099
      @marej0099 ปีที่แล้ว

      I thought the same about the weave construction. In your opinion, what are rhe toughest conditons this board could take?

    @SupBoardGuide ..I like your videos and purchased a iRocker Cruiser Ultra based on your review.
    Please be aware that iRocker had this to say about a misaligned paddle I received (handle and blade do not line up), which I tested in the water and told them that it did negatively impact paddling.
    "Unfortunately, This is not covered by warranty. We cannot guarantee that we have a paddle that isn't slightly off-center, but the good news is that this won't affect their paddling experience."
    I've had people in the SUP industry say that the owner stated to them that iRocker would warranty this kind of issue.

    Hey, great review, as always. I'm torn between the Ultra and original cruiser (especially with the great sale iRocker has on the original right now). Would you say that if one wants to sit down, or lay down and catch some sun, that having the split deck pad is uncomfortable? It won't be as comfortable as the full deck pad, but is it super noticable?

    • @supboardguide
      @supboardguide  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're right, it's not as comfortable as a full length deck pad, but it's not super noticeable and just takes some getting used to. It's not exactly uncomfortable, but I could see it being less than ideal if you're a person that's into SUP yoga.

    Great review! Im stuck between this board and the Nixy Venice. I do you think they compare?

    • @supboardguide
      @supboardguide  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question! We love both of these boards, and they definitely have their similarities. They're almost identical in stiffness, with the Venice just barely beating out the 10' Ultra. The Venice is a hair more stable than the 10' Ultra, though it doesn't track quite as well and it's slightly less maneuverable than the 10' Ultra (the Venice still is exceptionally maneuverable board, the 10' Ultra is just a little shorter and lighter). I also found the 10' Ultra to be faster than the Venice, but it's not an extreme difference unless you're at an all out sprint. The two obviously really differ in their kit/included accessories: The Venice is not compact, but it does come with a crazy nice paddle and a quick manual handpump, while the 10' Ultra is super compact and comes with iROCKER's electric pump. Ultimately both have quality accessory lists though. Let us know if you have any more questions between these two. We also have a written review of the Nixy Venice here: www.supboardguide.com/nixy-venice-inflatable-sup-review/

    Hey SBG, great review again, would you recommend the Ultra over the old model ? Looking to buy 2 boards for beginners and not sure whether to buy 2 ultras or 1 old and 1 ultra for the electric pump ? Thank you

    • @supboardguide
      @supboardguide  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Both are great boards, so it really just depends what your goals are with your SUP. The original Cruiser model is super stable and won't have much of a learning curve if you're new to paddling, where as the Cruiser Ultra is a little bit less stable and may take a small amount of getting used to (nothing insurmountable by any means, but we don't like it to take people by surprise). That being said, the Cruiser Ultra is stiffer, more responsive, and a hair faster, which most people tend to prefer as their skills develop. If you really get stuck deciding between the two though, buying 1 of each is a great option.

    • @supboardguide
      @supboardguide  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, the original is a little more stable. It will also likely be more comfortable for your son to sit on the deck pad since it's full instead of split. If the inclusion of the electric pump is super important to you though, iROCKER is offering some pretty sweet bundle deals with the Cruiser Original, and the rest of their Original line.

    Fortunately you both had a chance to ride the new 2022 GILI MENO 11'6" and the IROCKER CRUISER Ultra 10'6". Although the Meno comes both as a 10'6" and 11'6" and is 35" wide the CRUISER Ultra only comes in one length at 10'6" and is narrower at 33". Bottom line which board of the two would each of you take and why?
    Ever get to Lake Havasu City? Super fun to paddle around the Island.

    • @supboardguide
      @supboardguide  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That all depends on what we're doing that day. The Meno series obviously has a ton of volume, it's a great family board and great for loading up with gear, passengers, or accommodating a heavier paddler. The Cruiser Ultra is also great to load up (though not quite as much as the Meno), but it's way more responsive and maneuverable, and it can be paddled faster than the Meno series. Bottom line: I'd take the Meno if I were going to paddling with my nephews on board and still need space for some gear and snacks. I'd take the Cruiser Ultra if I'm paddling myself, and maybe my dog with an couple of drybags.

    • @ramseysteve
      @ramseysteve 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@walterwlee8814 seems like they have a recall going for a different model: “We have recently determined that the seams on certain BLACKFIN paddle boards (Model X, XL and V) that were manufactured in 2021 experienced problems with manufacturing which may cause separation of seams on the boards. This can result in deflation of the paddle board and impact user safety on the water. Out of an abundance of caution, we are recalling all boards we believe to be impacted.”
      Are you telling us there’s a recall for the Cruiser Ultra?

  • @Dili0077
    @Dili0077 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    The board can be very good, but the paddle it’s to big for shorter persons (like ALL Irocker Paddles) and that causes shoulder injuries! You shouldn't say it's a good option for short people because it's not, unless you buy a shorter paddle from another brand, which doesn't make sense when you’re buying a new SUP.

    • @supboardguide
      @supboardguide  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We totally agree that paddle size is majorly important. We found out after creating this video that you can make the 5 piece paddle shorter by leaving a section out of it, we'd definitely recommend that for shorter paddlers.

    • @Dili0077
      @Dili0077 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@supboardguide I also know this solution, but it was not thought by the brand, it was discovered by an intelligent and probably dissatisfied customer! And the problem is the same with all irocker paddles, and the worst thing is that when we consult the brand, they lie and say that they 182cm paddle is suitable for a person who is 155cm tall…. 🤔
