Alot of foreign truck drivers are on our roads now.Cant get enough Kiwis to drive trucks.Years ago,Kiwi truck drivers were the best. Where are they all now? Over in Ausi?
Live in Wainui and those back roads can be challenging for people who still think they can drive at 100kph on gravel but having rallied on those roads they're perfect😀
Auckland drivers break my brain. I like to drive fast and have spent ages building up my car etc. I'm always trying to be courteous, keep with the traffic flow, let people merge etc and give it a good thrash at times I choose to be ok. Meanwhile every Aucklander will do 70 in a 50 without looking or indicating then sit at 95 in the fast lane oblivious to a growing tail behind them. People need to just chill and work together in the road. Driving isn't always fun but we can at least all go home with no hassles. Oh, Auckland tailgating freaks me out like bro, you're inside of your reaction time so you WILL hit something before you even realise sh!t has gone wrone, phones mounted blocking prime windscreen real estate too. Jeez I'm sounding old lol
Big respect for you truckies driving rural roads. I live in Otoko Gisborne and Whakarau road ain’t the easiest for trucks. We give way where we can and always a 👋 too lol. Drive safe brutha 👍
I work on the policy of “Fuck em”, I’m not going out on the soft shoulder and rolling the truck for anyone. However that being said, I will put my truck off the road and slow up for any B Double stock truck that’s coming toward me here in Aussie. I would far rather do that and keep him upright than have to pick up ole mate and his load spread across the road.

@@Truckersteve14 cheers for the reply! I'm honestly amazed that the road got OK'd for 50max! Usually the surface of these narrow roads get absolutely battered by the extra weight
Yes, but you likely won’t need it. There's a legal 13-hour work limit unless exceptions apply. Depending on the company, you’ll probably start early, complete deliveries, return to the depot, and drive home before hitting the limit. If you want longer hours, logging is an option, though it’s mostly controlled by Chinese companies.
@@Truckersteve14 Whoops. I was pointing the finger at the city slickers complaining. I'm surrounded by them 😵 However I love hiking when the tracks are open 😬
We don’t run HPMV weights like most use it for on state highways, some upto 58t, You’d be a complete moron to do that on these roads anyway even if it was legal, we have the same weight limit as anything else on these roads no matter the unit, if anything its easier on the road with big setups, same weight spread over more axles
