This was so wholesome. I will be transferring to UCLA in the fall and had similar experiences as deciding between cc and 4 year. And by far cc was absolutely the best decision I ever made. Thank you so much for this video!!💗
Thank you so much Hannah for sharing all of your wisdom! I was scared of having imposter syndrome at UCLA but you made me feel more at ease. So thank you!!!!!
I got rejected by UCLA last month, but I'm thinking about going to community college and transferring in two years. A few schools accepted me, and I also don't feel confident with any of them. Thank you so much for this video, because my parents don't know much about college and can't offer me a lot of advice. I have to commit in two weeks and I feel like this came at the right time.
I’m so stoked this video was helpful!!! If you have any questions about what transferring might look like, please feel free to reach out to me on Instagram ❤️❤️
I also got rejected by UCLA the first time I applied and didn't feel excited about any of the colleges I got into. I'm SO thankful I chose to go to community college because I knew what I was working towards. Today I got accepted to UCLA as a transfer student and it's all thanks to my time at CC. It's honestly what you make of it but if you really have your heart set on a school I think you should transfer.
You've probably already decided, but I HIGHLY recommend CC regardless because I was waitlisted (had all the stats shabang etc) and eventually rejected. I didn't want to go somewhere I didn't know if I'd like (aside from the fact everything was online). I was able to transfer in one year w all my AP credit (had eight scores) and I got in last month!
I was just admitted as a transfer and this video is super really reassuring :) If you could do a video with an art major or a humanities major that would be super helpful !! thank you
I got offered admission to ucla off of the waitlist and I’m so excited to be attending later this month! Also Meili your smile is 🥰🔥 thanks for the video
I’m hoping to transfer to UCLA in the next year or so. Hannah’s advice on taking the 6 week courses at CC to prep you for UCLA’s quarter system was very helpful. I’m going to look into those classes now so I can be more prepared if I get accepted. One question I have, can I talk to counselors in the transfer center at UCLA if I’m still in CC? This whole video was helpful. Thank you so much to you both.
i was wondering what it is like going to a city college bc all i thought is that you are wasting ur time taking random prerequisites and not really working towards your degree compared to how you would at a 4 year or state school . and like yeah u can transfer but it seems like thats the only pro
Hi! I currently go to ucla and I’m majoring in Sociology! I definitely love the department and just the opportunities you can have here. Lots of great research experiences you can obtain and the professors are just the best (the TAs too).
Do you know if they prioritize my room type choices over my LLC choices? For context, I put singles at the top of my list, doubles next, and triples last. However, I also applied for the transfer LLC. I know the transfer LLC is only doubles and triples. Will this ruin my chance of getting a single? I would only like to be put in an LLC if singles are not available.
