Whoever designed and came up with the moves/fight choreo for these combos... Maaan they need awards and raise! Yeah, I get it, their impossible to play but yo, his outfit, his handling of the katana, the switching to the spectrum self and back is so flowy, he looks sexy af. He HOT The slomo really let's us see the artistry behind it. I guess I forgive Ed Boom for making Johnny Cage look goofy this time around lol
This combo guide has already leveled my already insane kenshi, I’m literally gonna hit elder god with ease now, the ex overhead into ,4, frost assist low into sento stance etc.is not only a great combo but it’s actually a mix up option. Instead of f22, frost assist low, into sento stance etc. you can do f22 ex over head,4 into frost assist, into sento stance etc. it’s a high low mixup if you pick between the two, absolutely god like, this alone has made me twice as good at kenshi mind BLOWN a lot of people eat his over heads and block low so they don’t have to deal with the 40% you lose from sento stance, now if they block low only they are going to eat that over head and take 30-35% free, start blocking high again, go frost assist low again and they have to eat the 40% can’t stress enough how much this helped, literally just gave me new mix up options that lead into insane damage! Thank you thank you thank you! Talking about 2:19 if anyone’s confused.
For the combos using Frost assist in to Sento 2 you don't need to hold the block button if you use the negative edge. As soon as you finish the input to summon Sento, press and hold forward and 2. This will let both Kenshi and Sento move forward, and you can release 2 for Sento to start his attack without making Kenshi attack as well.
Tbh you can make sento attack before kenshi does, that's how I do it. No block, no NE, nothing. Just find the right frame where sento is already able to attack but kenshi isn't yet due to recovery
@@Kombiichrist that's also true but I think the negative edge method is the most consistent, especially if you consider the fact that you're most likely going to be playing online and not everyone is using a wired connection
@@younghandshakethis tbh. You want to minimize accidentally tossing out a random button when maneuvering your puppet I think NE relieves alot of that worry

At 2:21, its 3 to Frost assist and then 3 to DB4. Damage with 3 gets you 355 while with 4, it gets you to 345 which isnt that bad but I recommend 3 better since its easier to do
Actually stick with 4, and instead of doing sentos (2) do sentos (1) you keep the damage and actually get more then if you did sentos (2) or switch (3) for (4) like you were talking about, and it’s way more consistent, try it out you will see!
But yes I was having trouble with the consistency as well, but trust me I lobbed it for over an hour the way I posted above works best for consistency AND optimal damage in mind.
A question i have is, are you able to make kenshi and sento attack individually (For example only sento using 2 and only kenshi dashing to continue a combo)

Thought it would be cool to learn Kenshi, then I got to the Sento stance section of this video and quickly realized I don't think I can do it lol. At least not reliably. Back to Mileena where I can very easily do a 57% combo using 2 meter and 2 scorpion assists.
You'd be surprised what you can learn by just keeping at it. You already know enough to play, this is just light practice everyday. Break the combos into little parts where you focus on the bits you know you need to work on. You'll be nailing these like light cheese.

Does anyone know how to counter the Kensho ghost that comes out and keeps attacking? Feels like such a cheap and bs move. It lasts so long. Maybe I’m missing something
You can hit either Ghost or Kenshi himself to temporary incapacitate him. Ghost himself is on a cooldown from the moment of action, and when it runs out, Kenshi has to spend a bar to bring him back. It is important to know that the Ghost cannot do any overhead attacks, unlike Kenshi. In my opinion, it is pretty fair, considering that kenshi entire baseline moveset changes, upon Sento stance activation. Without a ghost, Kenshi has only 1 special move that launches. If for whatever reason he wants to go back to his original stance, he has to make himself vulnerable to sheath the sword
5:50 I don't understand what this UF+BLOCK ability is. How do you activate it? I didn't see it in the list of moves. I tried pressing buttons, but it doesn't work. What's the trick?

Main Kenshi here 😊 he is a little hard but once you master him he is a killer
Small tip if you ever want your spirit to not do the action press your right bumper. (RB for X Box) (R1 for PS.)
Take a while but after finally be able do hit a 45 kombo with him is so amazingly good
They literally couldn't have made Kenshi harder to play. Ironically, his MK9 (2011) version was flawless from beginning to end.

In the last patch everyone got a small damage nerf, some characters got hit harder, baraka and raiden I believe so it might be that

If you hold the kameo button sento doesn’t move, if you hold block button Kenshi doesn’t move, so you can use them individually or together

After DB3 EX, J3, there is SENTO 3 THEN J2 and the rest of the combo.
It is written correctly, the j3 doubles as the Sento 3

All of the ghost’s attacks hit mid or high, so if you’re forced on the defensive, focus on Kenshi’s attacks.
