I knew you would like this one. I love this song...but I have a hard time listening to it because it never fails to make me cry lol. Every time I hear it, I think of my younger sister who passed away in 2006...I can't explain it. I used to skip over it when it came up. I've never thought of it as a soft rock song. Interesting! I love all of Tae's personal solo songs. He gets to explore his wide vocal range, particularly in "Christmas Tree" (not a Christmas song). And fortunately, he's the most productive member among the vocalists (in terms of the number of songs released), so I can enjoy more of his songs. Scenery, Snow Flower, Sweet Night, Four o'Clock (with RM), Blue and Grey (it was meant to be in Tae's mixtape before it became a BTS song). In addition, he's also leaked a lot of snippets of his (demo) songs. I love them all. Many of them are in English, because he wants international ARMY to enjoy them. I wouldn't be surprised if there are more English songs than Korean in his upcoming solo album.

My personal favorite is Sweet Night. It's also in English and to me the song is about longing. It's an indie pop song for a k drama "Itaewon Class" starring his close friend Park Seojoon.
It's breakfast time, it's Brian's time! :P I really like this song, on the one hand because of its particular musicality, but also for this atmosphere of which you speak, this emotional comfort. I find V's solo songs always very accurate and immersive about feelings. I don't know if it's because of its background (coming from a farming family) but there's always something pleasantly rustic about it, like an old cottage/cabin full of childhood memories. Even in his style of dress it often comes out, he wears "the old fashion" style very well (in my opinion). I really like this video too, everything is on point really. The places, the retro quality of the visuals, his attitude, the slow reverse...then finally moving forward.
I love this song. It is so soothing. Tae actually likes to sing in English. He has a think 3 solo songs completely in English and 1 is this song and 2 are OST songs. Tae wrote the song Blue and Grey orginally for himself and it was originally in complete English. When they decided to put it on the BE album the changed it to Korean with some English. I wouldn't be surprised if Tae has at least 1 or 2 songs in complete English on he album. Yay this is one of my favorite Tae solo songs!!! (Plus Snow flower and Sweet Night)(I also really like stigma live) Dedicated to his grandmother who helped raise him and passed away. I love the metaphor of Winter Bear and his grandmother (I believe we all will see loved ones again after this life; at least that is how I interpreted it). I also love when you see in the video it going backwards. It is like he wants to rewind to be with her or to remember her.

This song is so special to me, last year I hit a wall emotionally by over working and was so stressed I stopped sleeping but found this song would allow me relax enough to get sleep. I almost feel my muscles relax just hearing it, it’s so beautiful and soothing and the video is subtle and beautiful. The fact it may well be about his beloved grandmother who raised him and passed away would make sense to me given the soothing vibes. I wish I could thank him for helping me get sleep every night. I agree the fact BTS use and cross so many genres make them always unexpected and always interesting. I almost feel my muscles relax just hearing it, it’s so beautiful and soothing and the video is subtle and beautiful. The fact it may well be about his beloved grandmother who raised him and passed away would make sense to me given the soothing vibes. I wish I could thank him for helping me get sleep every night. I agree the fact BTS use and cross so many genres make them always unexpected and always interesting. It’s eternally frustrating that he writes songs this good and yet.. he has who knows how many tracks he finished then completely deleted (we know because he will taunt/tease us by playing a bit of a song right before deleting them) and I feel like we will never get his album 😂.
I remember that he wrote this song using google translator. Yes it is short but it is meaningful and more personal.
This song is one of my all time favorites, I listen to it every night before bed 🙂 I find it super comforting 💜 eta: sounds like a flute to me but I'm not 100% either and yes, there is a little piano at times

Amo que haya expresado de esta manera sus sentimientos ante la partida de su abuelita, él la amaba mucho pues ella lo crió durante los primeros años de su vida.
