      Don’t even joke about that. There are too many ignorant people who don’t get the fact that you are kidding. Carol O’Connor quit the sitcom “ All in the Family “of the late 70’s and 80’s because some people didn’t get the fact that Archie bunker was a racist and the butt if the jokes. There are SO many historical figures who are never acknowledged - inventors, physicians, scientists, writers, statesmen - and who kids never hear about. I went to a suburban, all-white Catholic girls' high school in the 70s, and because of an enlightened English teacher, was introduced to the work of WEB DuBois, Langston Hughes, James Baldwin, and others, all exquisite writers. @t-reid3716 look at world history though. Poles were big time slaves, the Slavic is where it was origined, the Irish. I can go on and how many interracial relationships are slave based against the black person now? If anything the black one makes the white his or her slave. Black slaves cost more back then and even today in sports and don't have much to show for it. Theyve made lots of money but that's all I can think of. They been profited off the most but historically everyone's been bad slaves and still are today too who are non black and the others get paid less and make more of it, make the right decisions and many black people complain about that.

      I disagree with you entirely. Whether it is a good idea medically or not, trans-identified adults should be able legally to pursue the medical treatments and cosmetic surgery that they want. But as at least 80% to 90% of trans-identified children and adolescents will resolve their gender incongruence in early adulthood, and because there is no reliable way to know which of those children will “desist” and which will “persist” in transgender identification, pediatric gender transition care is a very bad idea. The health risks are grave, and only a legal adult should be allowed to decide to take those risks on.

    Personal benefit refers to the direct advantage or profit that an individual gains from their actions or decisions. This might include financial gains, increased social standing, improved skills, or greater knowledge. It's the advantage one gets that enhances their personal circumstances or capacities in some way.
    When it comes to the question of slaves, it is essential to clarify that slavery was a cruel and dehumanizing institution where people were treated as property and forced to work without proper compensation or basic human rights. Here's a brief explanation regarding the question of personal benefits for slaves:
    Slaves did not enjoy personal benefits:
    Dehumanization: Slaves were not considered humans but were viewed as property or commodities. This view denied them the opportunity to enjoy basic human rights, let alone personal benefits.
    No Freedom: Slaves did not have the freedom to make choices that could lead to their personal benefit. They were not allowed to make decisions about their life, work, or leisure, thus denying them the possibility of pursuing personal gains.
    Economic Exploitation: Slaves did not receive any wages for their hard labor. They were exploited for economic benefits that went to their masters, not to them. This meant they were denied financial gains that could contribute to their personal benefit.
    Lack of Education: Most slaves were not provided with education, which could potentially contribute to personal benefits. Education offers individuals the chance to improve their skills and knowledge, which can lead to personal and economic growth. This opportunity was typically denied to slaves.
    Physical and Psychological Abuse: Slaves often suffered physical and psychological abuse, which hindered their well-being and personal development. The constant fear and torment denied them mental peace and personal growth, thereby negating any chance for personal benefit.
    While slaves may have found ways to create moments of joy, resilience, or resistance within their enslaved conditions, these should not be mistaken for the typical "personal benefits" enjoyed by free individuals. Slavery was a brutal institution that systematically and structurally denied enslaved people the rights and opportunities that could lead to personal benefits.

    • @Delimon007
      @Delimon007 ปีที่แล้ว

      And if you want to say that those slaves learned valuable skills that allowed them to thrive, uh, the average black household doesn't even have HALF the wealth that a white family does. So much for learning "valuable skills to build wealth" which the whites stole from us as well and never allowed us to have higher paying jobs until the jim crow era finally ended in the 80s.

    Since freed hundred of thousands of ex-slaves were not even citizens of the u.s. until the 14th amendment years later how were to 'parley' any skills into so-called jobs. The white population of course were not too happy with new competition for jobs that they enjoyed exclusively prior to emancipation. Where did these 'educators' get the degrees in history? High schoolers need to start their american history (because black history is actually white history as well) start with Ken Burn's CIVIL WAR documentary. The positive parts of black history included small groups of brave and valiant white people working the underground in the anti slavery movement and giving much support and comfort as best they could at great risk defying the racist laws against ex-slaves.

    ORANGE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD FACES $1.8M LAWSUIT FROM FAMILY OF SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENT
    The Orange County School Board is in hot water as it faces a lawsuit for $1.8 million from the mother of a special needs child due to a failure to provide necessary accommodations during virtual learning in 2020. The Florida Department of Education found the school district was in violation of their obligations. The district appealed this decision to the Department of Administrative Hearings and the 5th District Court of Appeals but ultimately lost the case. As a result, the Parnes family removed their daughter from public school and enrolled her in a private school this year. This lawsuit is not just about financial freedom, but also advocating for other children with disabilities who may not have their necessary accommodations met during virtual learning.
