Absolutely loved this! I feel like every try looks the same these days. So much off the cuff attack from anywhere on the field in those days. I never liked Glover as a kid but he was a very good winger. Tragedy that he is best remembered for the 1976 GF errors.
Good point, these clips remind or highlight that some of these players are remembered for the wrong reasons. Gloves was a good winger, pacey and hard to stop.
I enjoyed every minute of that. Great jerseys - every team! My favourite players from that era were Greg Cox, Dennis Bendall, Russell Fairfax, Artie Beetson, Russell Gartner and Johnny Gibbs.
@@eagleeric2598 a great read for a young boy in the UK with these players made out to be super heroes. Saw some play for Australia with Ian Schubert the one who made the biggest impression.
The Manly try against West's scored by Terry Hill actually got the try of the year on channel 7. Rex wasn't too excited because it was such a blow out by then.
