It seems to me that all these discussions leave God out,as if men have the right to decide what is God's word and what isn't. Over and over the King James Authorized Holy Bible claims to be the Word of God. If God didn't give us His Word that we can actually hold in our hands in our language we are without hope. A few questions --- When did God know there would be a Holy Bible in English? Is there any language that God didn't originate? Would God make sure that the world would have His Word in the universal language of our day? Is God able to provide a table in the wilderness? Is God limited? In the Old Testament we learn about God's principles in dealing with men. One is that God works through kings. The Supreme Authority works through the ones in authority on earth. God works in the world even when we don't recognize it. The King James Holy Bible was authorized by the King of the English speaking people. Who authorized any other Versions? King James died in 1620,so it is sure he didn't authorize another. What gives anyone the authority and who gave them the authority to change The Holy Bible? Daniel 6:15 Proverbs 24:21, Ecclesiastes 8:4 1Peter 2:17 and if King James was alive today the decree might be as in Ezra 6:11 The issue is ( as is everything in the Bible) much deeper than we would think. All of the things spoken about the living Word in the Holy Bible are also spoken about the written Word. Just as Israel rejected God (1 Samuel 8:7) rejected Christ their King( Luke 17:25) and rejected the Holy Ghost (Acts 7:51),the Gentiles have rejected God (teaching and believing evolution e.g.) rejected Jesus Christ (cults, etc) the "religious leaders" have rejected the Holy Spirit (by not accepting the inspired Word.
It says neither! Those are both English words! ἱεροσύλους only occurs once in the Bible, right there in Acts 19:37! This reminds us that the early Christians, under persecution, worshipped in houses, when necessary." From Orthodox outlet for Dogmatic Enquiries: "The words "church" and "temple", in this case are interchangeable; however, the term “church” (Greek: εκκλησία) is far more common in English. The term "temple" (Greek: ναός) is also commonly applied to larger churches." The form ἱεροσύλους matches neither ναός nor εκκλησία ... a strange translation hill to die on to be sure! The message I'm posting now will implicate many KJV-only ministries, but for the sake of professing Christians stuck in cults (such as SDA/JW/LDS), I will highlight the biggest problem with KJV: it is based on the hebrew Masoretic Text whose authors changed God's word. 2 Tim. 2:15 has been used to justify a *very dangerous* heresy, which is Dualism (god of OT/flesh=bad, god of NT/spirit=good). The verse actually refers to Gen. 4:7 of the Septuagint, and the english translation reads: "Hast thou not sinned if thou hast brought it rightly, but not rightly divided it? be still, to thee shall be his submission, and thou shalt rule over him. (Gen. 4:7 LXX)" The KJV is still good for the NT (which even the Greek Orthodox Church borrows heavily from), but when it comes to the OT, virtually _all_ english translations are based upon the corrupted Masoretic Text, so the Septuagint is the authoritative Scripture. P.S. That also means Christians shouldn't get woozy over rabbinic esotericism about jumping letters, gematria, etc. Because the original Scripture had been tampered with, it may all be contrived. P.P.S. The original Hebrew sources for the Septuagint are allegedly lost, funny how that works.
You are twisting up scripture to say whatever you want it to say. Two Timothy 2:15 in the King James Bible talks about studying to show yourself worthy, rightly dividing the word of God. This applies to students, to handle the word diligently. God has told us in the book of revelation, and throughout his great book, that those who add or take away from this book, they have their part taken away out of the book of life, and out of the new city, new Jerusalem. Jerome in letter 112 says, "]) was agreeable to the Hebrew, but so is not the Greek copy now extant, which is full of corruptions, and seemeth to be a mixed and confused translation of many." "If the 70, as well as the Hebrew, had been authentical, the Lord would have been careful to have kept it pure and uncorrupt unto our days, as well as he hath done the Hebrew." There is indeed a Greek edition extant, which goeth under the name of the 70, but Whitaker sayeth that the true 70 is lost, and that this which we now have is mixed and miserably corrupted."
@@coltonmorrison4616 You should study Romans chapter 7 then. References to the Septuagint were made throughout the NT, even by the Lord Jesus Christ. You will find the relevant resources on the internet by searching terms such as "Jesus quoting Septuagint". The Septuagint greek text has also been proven to be authentic after the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls. ✌️
KJV is not JUST a translation in English. It is the most doctrinal sound translation. Is it not interesting to you that Christians spend 100 times more energy attacking the KJV as opposed the NWT???? Why is that? Because most of the modern translations almost perfectly align with the NWT. Every single verse or word that people say was inaccurately translated in the KJV, those same verses are amazingly found to be "accurately" rendered in the NWT, as well. And those several MISSING verses of modern translations are also missing in the NWT.

Nice work, Brother. It’s God the Holy Spirit-superintended King James Version ALONE that brings fallen, sinful men under conviction, because it is the very Word of God. All other “Bibles” are watered down, New Age Versions.
@@silversilk8438 It means that God the Holy Spirit providentially oversaw the work. That is why the King James Version may be considered to be the very Word of God -- perfect, pure, and inerrant.
@@chrismcmorrow9738 Oh! Thank you! I say it's true in that god made sure the translators translated it correctly, and that the text they were translating was perfectly preserved, and that what was perfectly preserved was the divinely inspired Word of God as conveyed and handed-down from centuries past. I was reading Dr. Phil Stringer's _The Unbroken Bible,_ and he was saying he doesn't believe the KJV has been re-inspired, and I also don't think it has... I think all the cool 7s and number stuff pointed out by channels like "Trust is Christ" is not because the text was re-inspired, but absolutely because God oversaw the translation just as He oversaw the preservation, just as He oversaw that what was written down was precisely the Words He wanted to be written. I really like this about God, because if God's Word hadn't been trustworthily conveyed to us in our time, we would have no assurance or knowledge of what God wanted us to know and believe and obey (love one another!).
Numbers 3:14-51. Were there 22,000 Levites as stated in v.39, or 22,300 according to v.v. 22, 28, and 34? If 22,300 then having the Israelites (numbered 22,273) pay 5 shekels at 273 more than 22,000, then seems unnecessary, yea incorrect. Please address this concern.
@@jjpetkusiii ...thank you, that explanation was as clear as mud. So, what about the 22,273 Israelites? Why the payment of 5 shekels for the 273 since 22,300 contains 22,273?
Good question. This isn’t incorrect, it is called rounding. When numbering the Levites, they rounded to the nearest hundred for each of the three family groups, and then when they added them together they rounded to the nearest thousand. All that to say that they followed rules of rounding to come to the number 22,000 Levites. Then when numbering the firstborns of the rest of the Israelites, they didn’t round. It sets a good example for us, when giving to the Lord based on a percentage (such as a tithe), it is good to round the numbers in a way that allow you to give more to God. It easier math if you round them, and if you are a cheerful giver, you have no problem giving the little bit more that rounding will produce. So it is not incorrect, it was just the choice of what got rounded and what didn’t provided an example of how to give. All that said, that is not a translation issue, which is what the video was about. Even the modern versions have the same numbers in all of those verses mentioned. Since God promised to preserve His Word, and all the versions I looked at have the same numbers, then if God is true, those must be the numbers that the originals had. “Let God be true, but every man a liar.” - Rom. 3:4
@@jmcollison10 thank you for that insightful response. I can see now in Numbers chaps. 1, 2, and 4 it appears that rounding was surely used because there's little chance that every tribe, et. al. would be so evenly numbered. And yes, God does want us to be cheerful and faithful givers! Blessings to you my brother!
@@jmcollison10 ...now I have another question that I hope you can give some insight: In 2 Kings 8:25 King Ahaziah is 22 years old (18 years younger than his father King Jehoram), but in 2 Chronicles 22:1-3 he's 42 years old (2 years OLDER than his father King Jehoram). Thanks in advance!
@@PTL4OSAS Great question again. I too had the exact same question. I’ve heard a couple different plausible answers, which I will be glad to share when I get the opportunity. But the short answer is that 100% of the Masoretic texts of the 2 Chronicles passage has the same age that the KJV has (which is changed in the modern translations). So this isn’t an accuracy of translation issue, this is a preservation of Scripture issue. If you believe God preserved His Word, then you must conclude that the number that is in all of the Manuscripts is the number God wanted. Without evidence, just human reasoning, the translators of the new versions changed the number to what would make more sense - instead of just being translators and leaving the verse the same as what they were translating. Again, when I have the time, I’ll share what I think concerning those passages.
This is an ongoing argument among Christians. Many people who go to evangelical or even fundamental Christian churches use all these “modern” versions. But they have many problems like missing verses, changed doctrines, etc., but say it’s no big deal. As a reaction, we who stick with the Old Veteran, the King James Bible, are vilified with the label, KJV-er, or some other label. Hope that explains a little. We say we already had a good English Bible, these new ones are interlopers or unnecessary, but there is a sinister agenda behind it all. We resist therefore, and stay loyal to the old Standard! Amen!
I have seen the KJVER in a Christian book store, and I don't know mich about it. But I already know the KJB is perfect, so whatever the KJVER "updates" in the translation, I already know it will not be perfect. But perhaps someone should look into it and see exactly what has been changed.

Which textus receptus? There's more than one. How many different words are you ok with? Are you ok with "God forbid" when neither God nor forbid are in the Greek text at all?
@jjpetkusiii Actually, my name is Grady Risley" I'm not entirely sure why you would doubt that, but be that as it may. My point about "corn" is that you claim infallible perfection of the KJV, and I'm pointing out that "grain" is traslated "corn" in the KJV. That is incorrect and as such, you can't claim word perfect perfection. Much less all them numbers they added to the text. The Bible is a useful tool the Spirit uses to teach and guide us, but it isn't the "Word of God". The Word of God became flesh as Yeshua. He is our mediator, not words written on paper. I love the Bible, but I refuse to idolize the KJV or any other version in any other language.
You didn't answer which Textus Receptus nor did you answer how many different words in the KJV you would personally allow to be different. All you did here was admit that you're in favor of dynamically equivalent translation. So am I, by the way.
@jjpetkusiii Well... This has been enlightening, and I've learned something important (again), and that is, You can't fix stupid, so why waste your breath. Enjoy your infallible IDOL. I'll stick with the true Word of YAHAVAH! Yeshua the Christ. Adios!
What external evidence is there that the KJV is an infallible translation? The argumentation here seems to be begging the question and circular reasoning.
are you qualified to translate a Greek or Hebrew text, into the English language? If not, you really are just navel gazing. More than 5,000 manuscripts seems pretty solid proof.
One really good external evidence is shared in this video, which is the fruit of the translation. Before the deluge of modern translations, there was great fruit and revivals centered around the King James Bible throughout the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. Now in the past century, thanks to these modern translations and textual criticism, there is nothing but doubt and disagreement and bad fruit. There has not been mass revival in the English-speaking world since all these competing versions came out, and it is because there is no blessing of God upon them. If there is another real revival, not these fake ones that are organized on campuses like the Asbury Revival that fizzled out, then it will absolutely be centered on the King James Bible. The GENEVA BIBLE was the pure word of God that preceded the 1611 KJV. And it took TWO DECADES after its printing to finally outsell and replace the GENEVA.
It seems to me that all these discussions leave God out,as if men have the right to decide what is God's word and what isn't. Over and over the King James Authorized Holy Bible claims to be the Word of God. If God didn't give us His Word that we can actually hold in our hands in our language we are without hope. A few questions ---
When did God know there would be a Holy Bible in English?
Daniel 6:15
Proverbs 24:21, Ecclesiastes 8:4 1Peter 2:17 and if King James was alive today the decree might be as in Ezra 6:11
The issue is ( as is everything in the Bible) much deeper than we would think.
All of the things spoken about the living Word in the Holy Bible are also spoken about the written Word.
Just as Israel rejected God (1 Samuel 8:7) rejected Christ their King( Luke 17:25)
and rejected the Holy Ghost
(Acts 7:51),the Gentiles have rejected God (teaching and believing evolution e.g.) rejected Jesus Christ (cults, etc) the "religious leaders" have rejected the Holy Spirit (by not accepting the inspired Word.

Chick publishing tells about Frank Logsdon regretting his work on NASB and said he was in trouble with God. It's a big deal folks.
Does the Greek of ACTS 19:37 say Church's or TEMPLES ???
It says neither! Those are both English words! ἱεροσύλους only occurs once in the Bible, right there in Acts 19:37!
From Orthodox Christian Info Center: "The Greek word for Temple, "Naos," [ναός] actually means house. This reminds us that the early Christians, under persecution, worshipped in houses, when necessary."
From Orthodox outlet for Dogmatic Enquiries: "The words "church" and "temple", in this case are interchangeable; however, the term “church” (Greek: εκκλησία) is far more common in English. The term "temple" (Greek: ναός) is also commonly applied to larger churches."
The form ἱεροσύλους matches neither ναός nor εκκλησία ... a strange translation hill to die on to be sure!
Perhaps more interestingly, TRs (Beza 1598) say "your" (υμων) goddess, while CTs say "our" (ἡμῶν) goddess! Yikes!

42:09 It’s not only modern version advocates who have trouble with archaic and obsolete words in the KJV. The King James Bible Study Project polled 100 KJV pastors on readability issues. The results were released last October.

4:7 of the Septuagint, and the english translation reads:
"Hast thou not sinned if thou hast brought it rightly, but not rightly divided it? be still, to thee shall be his submission, and thou shalt rule over him. (Gen. 4:7 LXX)"
The KJV is still good for the NT (which even the Greek Orthodox Church borrows heavily from), but when it comes to the OT, virtually _all_ english translations are based upon the corrupted Masoretic Text, so the Septuagint is the authoritative Scripture.
Jerome in letter 112 says, "]) was agreeable to the Hebrew, but so is not the Greek copy now extant, which is full of corruptions, and seemeth to be a mixed and confused translation of many."
"If the 70, as well as the Hebrew, had been authentical, the Lord would have been careful to have kept it pure and uncorrupt unto our days, as well as he hath done the Hebrew." There is indeed a Greek edition extant, which goeth under the name of the 70, but Whitaker sayeth that the true 70 is lost, and that this which we now have is mixed and miserably corrupted."

What does Superintended mean?
What about the KJVER? I have never heard of it...neither have I heard of the SKJV.
