Oh, Aurora, what a stacked feast you've set before us!!!!
A full half-hour of guffaws and true musical talent awe...am grateful. The ACCOMPANISTS alone are worthy maestros.
Peace be with you, hearty meal chef!....Lukerdog

I was fortunate to be in the New York cast and will share that creator, Gerrard Alessandrini, is one of the kindest, most humble men in the business . He is featured here as Tevye and King Arthur. There would be no Forbidden Broadway without his vision or the brilliant musicianship of Fred Barton.

I was in the Boston company of “Forbidden Broadway”, replacing Karen Murphy in 1988 and opening the new version in 1989 which also featured “Forbidden Hollywood”. Fantastic show to do. Never boring and always changing.

Amazing. The fact they can take well known tunes change the wording without mistakes is remarkable.

Don’t Cry For Me Barbra Streisand has to be one of the funniest things they ever did. This was a real treat on a Saturday afternoon-thank you as always Spiderwoman!

That revised lyric in the second one made me howl: "you'll do the movie / and I'll go mental / when you sing Eva / like you did Yentl."🤣🤣

Yeah, but that line, “you’ll ruin the movie ‘cause you’re too Jewish.” I mean, yikes that has not aged well. I don’t see how that could sound like anything other than anti-Semitic.

Toni won the Drama Desk Award for Best Actress for this performance - against all the heavy-hitters at JEROME ROBBINS BROADWAY etc. "Forbidden Broadway" is how/when she met her husband Michael McGrath.

I believe actually that may have been her as Christine in Phantom towards the end of the clips and also doing Carol Channing (not seen by herself but in the group) at the very end. I can spot her voice there too.
