Is FragPunk ACTUALLY Worth Playing? - This FragPunk review gives an honest look at the game, it's best features and thougths on whether it's worth playing or not.
Can’t really explain why, but I know what you mean and it’s true. I play Apex, I tried Valorant once but I didn’t feel hooked, after some time I got back and tried Valorant a little more but got the same feeling. I got into the Xbox Insider program and played FragPunk for a bit and I thought it wasn’t that bad, but felt that it still wasn’t my thing since I’m more into the Battle Royale of Apex. I played another day and it felt better. Now it’s day 3 and I’m absolutely hooked.
Loool he is not good😂 He aint playin against people of his skill he is playing against noobs😂😂😂 Those sbmm ant workin and u playin not against people of ur skill
@@kellykelly8276less arrogant comment would have been "sbmm ain't working youre not playing against people of your skill" But then again, feel free to quickly show your lack of character. To each their own I guess lol
Fragpunk could not have come at a better time, as someone who has just quit apex a month or so ago and has previously enjoyed valorant, I really thought i'd never find something to fill that void. Been trying cod, xdefiant etc... Fragpunk is amazing, and most importantly it's super fun with friends. If you need a break from Apex and want to try a fun new shooter, this is a great jump off point. Just be careful, you might never go back.
I am worried about the same thing but I've never seen a community that addicted to a game they played for 5 days. I've been on the discords of many soon-to-release games and even though fragpunk wasn't close to releasing or even having the beta announcement the discord was active with just 5 days of content that they had months before. I believe the playerbase will be enough to keep it alive. Those games are not HUGE hits like valorant but I just hope for an above 10k daily and we will be fine
What i like about this game: -The inspect animation is so good - weapon customization - aiming is not RNG - character customization - gameplay is a little bit unique maybe because of the cards - battle pass is okay - movement is buttery smooth - fast pace
@@anzb6727kinda died, depends on the definition It constantly has servers up and like 10k+ players but it definitely settled down from its original player count and hype It’s just kinda niche and it’s not CoD or Apex so it won’t have the same player base, but it found its stride and I think will continue to have players for a while
I played a good bit of this over the weekend and it’s the most fun I’ve had in a long time. I quit apex a couple years ago, and CoD has become sooo stale for me so FragPunk feels like a breath of fresh air. Can definitely see myself grinding it for a good while!
I truly feel FragPunk will find its place because it's exactly what you said, the game is fun. You can still have a competitive game but throw actual fun into the mix, and you have a strong recipe for success!
Fragpunk will never be competitive, theres too much rng with the cards and the game will be impossible to balance. It will be a casual shooter for people to chill and hop on for some quick fun. Unfortunately, games never last if they dont hit the sweet spot between fun and competitive.
I’ve been on the lookout for a game similar to Apex Legends, and after trying FragPunk, I finally feel relieved. It’s time for a break from Apex. I’m not too worried about getting stuck in this new game-FragPunk feels like a great alternative and could even replace Apex for me. Even though it’s not a battle royale, I think I can adjust and enjoy the change.
Ive never liked tactical shooter games before, because of a lot of the core mechanics and because the popular ones are built on the source engine, which I hate for FPS games. But this sounds like it actually solves most or all of the mechanical problems that usually push me away
False. The finals is bigger than ever the community is super strong and the player base keeps growing rapidly. The devs have been putting out so much content and quality of life changes its wild to say it fell off I mean obviously the player count now compared to launch is a huge difference but it’s a great game that will last a long time lets not count out unique fps games statements like that give the wrong impression.
Exactly. I was with him until he said that. The Finals definitely has a dedicated core fan base keeping it going and it's genuinely fun and only getting better. TH-camrs saying it's dead without thinking just mean many people don't even try it which is annoying.
@@CosmicRandom2122 nah the finals fell off sorry to break it to you…most games have a dedicated user base but it’s over for the finals man, it’s just not it
The finals DEFINITELY didn’t die off, sure it doesn’t have as many players as launch, but it’s been gaining and every new season has been even better than the last.
There is a lot to take in. Shard card picking is also different in the ranked mode, complicating things further, but also balancing the concept in a more competitive way. I would argue the last game that truly took a variety of mechanics from a bunch of shooters and combined it into a coherent package is actually Overwatch (shockingly). Just because of the variety of gameplay archetypes found in its cast, some characters clearly being influenced by certain sub-genres of classic shooter.
If this game has strong anti cheat and more compelling reasons to play than just S&D... they have something amazing on their hands. the gunplay in this game is too great for S&D to be the only primary mode - IMO this game deserves multiple
Man, all i hope for with online games nowadays is Australian servers, A game can look perfect, but if it doesnt have OCE servers, whats the point on an Australian (me) being excited
"Sliding around with Apex like slide mechanics like you're the fastest player." Is just kinda funny to me. Apex takes after the Titanfall slide mechanics and in comparison Apex truly feels like you're a pilot who retired 13 years ago.
I haven't felt like this with a game since I started playing apex, as I mostly played arenas when i started (rip the best game mode apex had to offer). Even tho its closed beta its such a fleshed out experience, and when they add lore to the game I can tell I'm gonna be in for the long haul
i really love it so far. Reminds me alot of both Val and apex, taking enough to be similar but it still does enough to separate itself from them. The shard cards were a gimmick tome at first but i actually love them now that i have more of them and I love that you have to make economy choices sometimes, just like val and cs. There is some annoying stuff you have to worry about but for the most part its really fun
Fragpunk has actually made me enjoy shooters again. It's fun, it's unique, the devs aren't trying to push some race/gender or other political garbage down your throat. The gunplay feels great and my only real complaint is that it would be nicer to get better tick rate servers especially for ranked. Outside of that this game is awesome and has some game modes that some of the other shooters leave out (CTF especially). The game is also loaded with QoL enhancements like being able to scrimmage WHILE queued for a match or being in the range. Overall a great game hope to see the devs properly advertise it.
Can't lie. i tried valorant, rogue company, csgo and other than rogue company, fragpunk has been fun arena hero shooter I've played in a long time. I seen so many people just hate on the game because "why play this when we have valorant" I legit don't enjoy valorant but fragpunk just feels so much better
I'd say my major complaints so far is snipers feel too strong it feels so easy to get 1 tapped if the other player is halfway decent. My other complaint which i feel is more of an issue is hit register I feel when your getting shot at you don't notice getting hit until your dead I've had it happen where i didn't even notice I was almost dead after a gun fight didn't even know I was hit
Dunno, though I love apex, gun wise, I haven't seen anything more fun than unreal tournaments gun wise (well probably apart from some doom mods). And this still seems sorta realistic gun stuff. Cards give vibes of one of doom mods, a bit :)
The game looks gd and I can’t wait for it and I think it will survive only thing is whether the competitive scene will and that’s because the card system is very rng based but idk we will have to see but gonna be very gd for the casuals definitely
Some of the core mechanics feel a little unpolished. Definitely there is potential, but the game play does not feel smooth like Valorant, Apex, or Overwatch. If they make the game feel more polished there is definitely more potential
I was so excited to finally play Valorant on console…..only to be disappointed by the rigid movement…. Fragpunk feels like a better valorant and I love the art style
Frag punk is really nice one thing I hope the change is on controller you keep your aim assist when fully flashed which is kind of broken so I hope they change that
Only minus about this game is aim assist on controllers, it aimlocks like crazy which is big issue in movement speed based game, and if you are decent player u have no recoil, so in high rank lobbies u have got sniped with SMGs with no recoil. But I absolutely love this game.
