I surf on the left side of the pier all the time those 3 dolphins always hang out there and there’s always this small bull shark that jumps out the water into a c shape
Just had a thought………there must be quite a number of sharks 🦈 and larger fish, pelagic etc swimming around with hooks & trace out there in their large marine world.
Fished there this past Saturday. Guys where using whole blues as shark bait. They just kept reeling in shark after shark. I hooked into a cow nose ray with shrimp and a bunch of croaker.
Awesome, yeah they are just about everywhere. Some people were getting their fish eaten as they’re pulling them up. That cow nose ray sounds like a good fight. Glad you were able to catch em.
I need to invent a different type of line, no telling how many fish, get phucked, with a hook and line 5 ft long, rest of life, until hes eaten, maybe hooks that only last 30 days, once wet. And if they stay wet, then get weaker daily.
If you’re fishing for flounder and reds or trout, I normally would use fresh or live shrimp, mud minnows and small finger mullets. If you are targeting bigger fish, you can use spots, whiting, mullets, and menhaden.

Was in Garden City the week before Memorial Day and saw quite a few sharks landed on the Pier. Caught fish every day it was a great week.
Glad you were able to catch them man. Sounded like a great Memorial Day weekend!
Very cool Nomku.
Thanks Tyler!

What would you use for bait when fishing from the shore? Thanks
