- Towards the tail end of last year a lot of comments seemed to want a sequel to Disposable Design, so after giving it some thought I put this together and I hope you enjoy this little continuation ^^ And if you're curious the 300k sub special is still in the works, I'll be most excited to show you that one when it's complete!

The concept of Tails rebuilding and repurposing the original Metal Sonic as a guardian of the Chao and their Gardens, is pretty cool and wholesome.
I suspect that (mini) metal Sonic may become what he never could under Robotnik because while sentient and one of if not the most advanced badniks ever made, Robotnik doesn’t foster his ability to learn- not even his enemy- to any significant degree. Robotnik used him like a tool- not a being that needs interaction to become better as intended.
@@watch50er yay, we saw that in the mainline games, after Metal became increasingly intelligent and powerful, Eggman stripped him of his Neo form, despite his ability to almost conquer the world, solely because Metal could not be fully controlled by Eggman as long as the had the Neo abilitys.

If that was me and i was an evil genius, I’d wonder exactly HOW that came to be as that is a creation of mine that is NOT under my control.

This truly shows why Metal Sonic claims himself to be the real Sonic because he doesn't only have his Sonic's speed but also a big heart like Sonic does. He truly is a real Sonic

I always wanted to see the Classic Metal Sonic becoming a "Cherished Companion". Now that I have seen the video. I give this video a perfect 10. I love seeing it. It is fun, funny and cute. I want to see more videos like this. The thing that touched me about this video is, when Classic Metal Sonic becoming a guardian of the Chaos. I love this video.

even without using a single word in a single video you demonstrated so much expression and emotion, that is a lot of talent

I love how the rebuilt Metal Sonic (or our “Cherished Companion” aka CC) is treated with such care and kindness by the others.
Tails works hard to make sure CC is working the best they can be and to keep it that way, not just so that CC can work well for them all, but so that CC is “healthy” in a way. Tails is encouraging to CC’s growth and is almost like a caregiver for CC.
Cream treats CC with unwavering kindness and Cheese clearly trusts CC, and Chao are great at telling someone’s character. CC comes to love the Chao thanks to Cheese and Cream.
Sonic is confused at first, but once he knows what’s going on, he treats CC like any other friend of his. No prejudice or bias towards CC for the past, just his usual kind, lighthearted attitude and light teasing. He even (seemingly) invites CC along for an adventure, much to CC’s excitement.
And, even better, CC is given the chance to choose who they are, and what they want to do. Heck, they’re even encouraged to do so. In the end, they *choose* to love and protect the Chaos.
This comment really made my day, I so appreciate your analysis of how everyone contributed to CC's new lease on life! It makes me happy that these animations were able to convey that to you without words ^^

It’s like seeing into an alternate reality. The metal sonic from eggmans’ control has run into the metal sonic that had his life liberated and cherished. The replaceable sonic and the one that is his own being and is loved. Seeing each other is a showing of what is and what could have beens.
Like seeing an old friend after years of hiding
Im honestly hqppy to see people animate or create stories of a different metal thats friendly, or in this case, a broken metal made and learned good in opposition of the metal who started the good metals life in the first place

Tails just being a father for the Small Metal , teached him , meets the chao garden and saved the Chao's. That is the metal sonic i love.

Now that was adorable I always love metal he was my favorite character of all time and I'm always glad to see him as a good guy
Awesome animation! Looks like Metal Sonic can finally have at least a friendly rivalry with the real Sonic! Personally, if I were Sonic, I would perceive Metal Sonic as a worthy foe. If there was a mutual problem that both Metal and I would face, the 2 of us would have to work together to solve the mutual problem. If anything were to happen to Metal, I would mourn his demise (similar to the ending of the OVA movie), as I would never want him to perish before finally developing enough of a heart to develop a true friendship (or at least a friendly rivalry) with me. Matter of fact, I could even say the same thing about Eggman.

Yep! In the previous video Metal Sonic went back to the past where he found the remains of Classic Metal Sonic way back from CD
And after eggman threw away said parts metal retrieved them and gave the parts to tails so he could rebuild classic metal.

Classic Metal Sonic is like a little child & his new big brother Tails is taking care of him & teaching him ^w^ And when he pets the chao. My heart melted X3 I'm really getting Shadow the hedgehog & Generations vibes here.
And starting to feel bad for Metal. Also thanks to the sad music. Now the question is: Who's the real metal Sonic ? Can we trust him ? Are there more ? I really wonder what's going on inside modern Metal's head.
Aww thank you so much! Yeah it is a pretty unsettling song but one I feel suits the mad Dr. Eggman in his hey day. Setting up his bond with Tails and the Chaos at the end was definitely my favorite part to work on! And this definitely leaves a lot for Metal to consider, he saved his past self by giving him to Tails, but what will it mean when they clash?
Such a neat idea I'm absolutely hooked! I hope more comes out from this particular metal sonic story

I love it. Keep going, original Metal Sonic deserves a resurgence in mainline games. A idea of original Metal Sonic rebuild for something better is awesome to behold. Hope We could see more interaction between Original & morden Metal Sonics like brothers tried to reunite with each other,no matter what Eggman wants

@@brimstoneclub hey, it was a big miss-opportunity for Sonic Generations to NOT have Modern & Classic Sonic vs Modern & Classic Metal fight (not counting the classic Metal fight since it has zero impact in the story)
Just a bit of a headcanon as to where this could lead in the future.
Classic Metal, after seeing what his more up to date version was doing, became repulsed in the idea of sharing a look as him and started to draw up a new design that he wished Tails would update him with, changing his body to match Shadow's in height and quill shape, with a primarily black paint job as well, but using yellow for his accents instead of red. He received a voice box with his first word being his new name, "Shard, " the bot uttered in a voice somewhere between Sonic's lighthearted tone and Shadow's more subdued and serious tone, "I am Shard the Metal Sonic, guardian of the Chao." Modern Metal, seeing his younger self step into a life all his own, decided that it was time he claimed his freedom again, becoming Neo Metal once more he flew off into the night to craft a plan to bring an end to the pain that he and his 'brother' share.

I remember how when I was a kid, after seeing the ending of the OVA movie, as well as how Sonic offered Metal Sonic a rematch at the end of Sonic Heroes, I really wanted Metal Sonic to be a good guy.
