    Nice. Even new parts can fail, great troubleshooting process

    Is there a more serious problem if this happens more than once afrer replacing 4 cylinder coil within 6 months time???

    Excellent video, just a pro tip though you don't have to do an auto scan, you can do a manual scan and just bring it over to diagnostics for engine. I have the same autel but it's the mp 808. Also don't forget a little bit of dialectic grease to go on the end of the boot before you reinstall back to the spark plug.

      Thanks for the tips! Especially the dielectric grease.

    When you first checked after switching the coils, surely the fault code from before would have showed until you erased it then scanned again, as you did with the spark plug later?

      ..... Good thinking Mate, correct, it should have been cleared first.
      If it was the coil and not cleared two error codes (3 & 4) would have been displayed.
      Before commencing I would have wiggled connectors around while running to see if anything
      audibly altered. I think the new plugs were iridium ? I think the gaps are different from standard plugs ?
      That wouldn't have manifested in a instant fail though. So I concur, internal plug failure.

      @@robbieaussievic That clarifies it. The test, then, is if two codes appear it is the coil. In that it was only (the original) one it rules out the number 4 coil.

    I have this code P0304 I replace the coil oack and the spark plug. Still miss firing. Maybe I got a faulty coil oack or spark plug. This is driving me nuts!!

      I replaced spark plugs, ignition coils, fuel injectors, after moving around. Still P0304? EGR Valve, MAF sensor, no vacuum leaks, any info what I should check next? O2 sensors all good, Cat good, fuel pump good? I've spent $1000 having diagnosed. Don't have a clue what direction to try next. Thanks

    • @dial2fast
      @dial2fast  ปีที่แล้ว

      If the spark plugs are due for replacing, then go ahead and replace them all. Otherwise just replace the one bad one.
