Thank you! Though I now live in France, II first came to Romsey aged 13 in 1959 and lived just outside the town until my early 20s. According to ancient record two Parliamentary soldiers, convicted of stealing, were hanged from the wrought iron inn sign that can still be seen on the wall of the half timbered building (the Conservative Club?) in the Square. In the early 60s some wag painted footsteps from Palmerston's statue. They crossed the Square , went down the steps to the urinals under the local council offices (long since gone) and then returned to the plinth. 🤣
Romsey's a lovely place, luckily I don't live far away! I nearly bought a place there this year. I've made 4 TH-cam videos on Romsey so far, I'm sure I'll make some more! 🙂👍

@@vincentryanborres Those are good ideas, I hadn't thought of those, I was thinking of Kings Worthy and Stockbridge too. I can't believe how popular this Romsey video has been, about 400 views in a day! My channel is still fairly new so need to build up views and subscribers and it seems a slow process! Thanks for the advice, I will put them on the list!

I think this happens on most of my videos! Usually I edit them out but I didn't want to this time! 👍🙂
